Re: ncaa 12 blog #2?
They are not going to tell you everything you want to know right now. They have to slowly reveal new stuff saving the best for later to keep people talking. Think of it from a business point of view and not a gamer point of view for a minute. If they tell you everything right now things will get quiet by the time the game comes out. Word of mouth is great for sales.Comment

That said, the game's a few months away. Lighting is just the first snipped of info. My guess is they'll do a blog around once every two weeks and increase the rate closer to release.Comment

Lighting is the difference between live action and cartoons. There is nothing more important to the environment and colors than lighting. I was in practice mode in NCAA 12 yesterday, in the indoor practice field, and while watching a replay I saw my QB drop into the light beam that comes through the windows near the rafters and was mesmerized and how realistic it looked. You could almost feel the warmth the light produced. Quite awesome. There are two types of people on OS: Those who disagree with me, and those who agree.
The first kind is wrong. The second is superfluous.

Re: ncaa 12 blog #2?
If there isnt a blog today, most likely it will be next week.
NCAA blog schedule is probably similar to Madden Blog schedule besides the month prior, We should get the big stuff by by the draft. But we should get smaller stuff before that. I would not be disappointed if we get something small or graphical for the next blog, as long as is it not on the lines of something small like windsocks like we got before
It seems like EA is not scheduling blogs every week anymoreComment

Re: ncaa 12 blog #2?
Yeah, the next one will probably not be gameplay related. I'm hoping they show us how they've improved the college gameday atmosphere. Better mascots, chants, celebrations, crowd features, emotions, entrances, bands, pregame shows, halftime, wrapup, etc. I want to feel all the excitement and tensions of college football in this game.Comment

That's why I thought the lighting blog kind of started things off with a bang. After all, the still teaser images that showed older animations confused people for a long time (in thinking it was a new animation). Why? in part, because of the lighting of the scene.
I hope some new animations make it in, but lighting is huge.Comment
