Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Ouch! I am glad that my A's don't have to play in the same division as your Rangers. That would be a tough lineup to overcome. Nice trade. I would love to go after Pujols. I wonder what I would have to give up to get him.Was finally able to work some trade magic. Been trying to get Pujols in my Rangers dynasty. Got him today.
Traded Kinsler, Mitch Moreland and an "A" minor league SS for Pujols and a "B" rated 2B minor leaguer. Move Mike Young over to 2nd and we're in business! It's a pretty sweet lineup now...Comment

To me that seems a lil high for Scott BakerWow, this thread dropped down quite a bit!
Ok, I'd love some feedback on a recent trade I made in my Yankees franchise, just before the start of the regular season.
I traded Joba Chamberlain (as a RP, not converted to SP) and Austin Romine (B-pot Catcher) to the Twins for Scott Baker.
Fair? Good trade for me? Just looking for some random feedback!Brian Kelly will have ND back this year.
Arizona State will bounce back this year too.
The Cubs will end the streak next yearComment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Yeah, I figure it was either giving up just a bit too much, or fair. Frankly, given the Yankees position, I figured that the Twins could ask for a bit more than usual and still get the trade done, so I was ok with it.
That being said, I'm going to restart once the OSFM rosters are released, so I'm just messing around for now. In my actual franchise I'm going to consider moving Joba to the rotation in ST and see how he performs.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I can see why you might want to, but I'm one of those guys who thinks that Joba's been mishandled and could have been an above-average starter or more if he was handled correctly (that being said, I don't claim to have all the info... maybe the team knows something I don't here). So, in my "MLB The Show Fantasy World," I might want to give Joba a shot as a starter, and if he doesn't perform in ST, either have him start the season in AAA or shuttle him back to the bullpen and call it quits on that experiment.
While I like keeping things realistic in terms of fairness, I like to let my franchise take on its own life rather than mirroring the real world

we all have our own opinion. The Yanks messed him up. He would've been the successor to Rivera if they let him beI can see why you might want to, but I'm one of those guys who thinks that Joba's been mishandled and could have been an above-average starter or more if he was handled correctly (that being said, I don't claim to have all the info... maybe the team knows something I don't here). Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I absolutely agree that we all have our own opinions on this one (and clearly this is one topic that, for Yankee fans, is never going to be settled). Starters are more valuable than relievers, and so if I've got the opportunity to have even a #4 starter, I'll take it. The one thing people tend to forget about Rivera (not saying this about you specifically)... he wasn't brought up as a reliever... he was a failed starter who got put into the bullpen out of necessity.
But enough about real life! I love pitching with Baker - this has been a very good acquisition for me. He's got great control, and I seem to have a great grasp of his delivery. Romine (for me) doesn't have a place on the team anytime in the near future... and if I end up pitching poorly with Chamberlain once I start my actual franchise, this is a trade I might have to make!Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I was thinking about picking up Ryan Doumit in my Red Sox chise, that way i can have him play some LF or C and have Salty/Varitek play 1B and give Gonzo a rest.
Just wondering what you think is a fair trade for him.
he is being shopped IRL.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Wasn't getting any production from my Carlos Ruiz so, I signed Bengie Molina. And my bench was a little weak so I signed Jose Guillen and Troy Glaus who in my first game with them, as my starters were tired, both had HR's. So, I'm trying to trade away Ross Gload, Ben Fransico, and Carlos Ruiz. Any ideas on what I could get? I'm trying to get Left handed Late Inning pitcher because that seems to be my only weakness right now.PHILLIES PHANS: IT'S GONNA BE A GREAT YEARComment
