thanks for the feedback! I incorporated some of your (greenegt) ideas - people can now pretty much tweak small things to their liking.

a number of updates on page 1 - post 1. everything that's been changed is in bold / red.

i'm hopeful that we are somewhere near a "final" set (like you've never heard that before...).
