Look at real race results.they are wrecked cars evey Sunday making laps .70 plus laps down its part of it points racing...its a race within a race its part of nascarOriginally posted by zoxcvWhy don't I belong here? Because I'm not a cheerleader of this game?
Actually it's akin to the AI leaving him out there for 9 innings and all his stats being down to 60%.
I enjoy lapping totaled cars 20 times a race. No big deal though, right?

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions
Well I am glad we are back on topic. Thank you mods.
One more impression..I wanted to see how the game handled running out of gas during a race. So what happens is, if you do not make it back to pit road by the tank goes empty (NO COASTING) it is an automatic DNF. I hope that is something that can be addressed in the future.Comment

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions
Its not that you are disagreeing with it, that would be ok (IF YOU HAD THE GAME), but you are disagreeing with it in a way that is very immature and not right for this forum. It is not constructive criticism. You dont even have the game, and from the way it sounds like it you never will, so you can never criticize the gameOriginally posted by zoxcvWhy don't I belong here? So anyone who disagrees with the general consensus should be booted out of a conversation?
The game is piece of crap. I know it sucks to hear it. I tried to turn a blind eye too. I was waiting for the first good Nascar game since 2003. All they to do was not have any huge omissions or major flaws. They had 15 years of Nascar games as reference, 2 years to make it, and a developer that was on the 2003 game. Yet they come back with no dnf's and no multiple seasons? That is funny.
The only reason these errors are present is because they know we'll buy it since it's the first game in a while. They also know we will be anxiously awaiting a fixed 2012 version. How can you not see that?Comment

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions
1. Any slider suggestions for a realistic shortened race?
At 10% race length, for example, you would be running only 20 laps at Daytona, which normally would not require any fuel/tire stops. Is there a way to set fuel/tire wear so that you have to pit one or more times during the shortened race. If so, what settings seem to be good?
2. What seems to be a race good % length to give you time to work your way through the field, but not require too much of a time committment/race?Comment

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions
Ok...did a 10 lap test MIS, and here are the results...
Laps 1-5 all low-line running
Lap1 41.81
Lap2 40.94
Lap3 40.37
Lap4 39.99
Lap5 39.62
Laps 6-10 all high-line running
Lap6 40.79
Lap7 40.27
Lap8 41.29(scraped the wall)
Lap9 40.54
Lap10 40.14
Running the low-line I avg. 40.56
Running the high-line I avg. 40.60
So it does seem like the low line is a bit faster, but not by much at all.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Well there are a ton of options in regards to this. You can run standard tire wear & Fuel or X2 or X3 or X4. I still haven't found the perfect settings yet. I really think each track may require a different one depending on race length. Now in regards to race length you can choose from 1 lap to full race in RACE NOW. In career mode, it goes up by percentage with 2 or 3 % being the lowest then it goes up in 10%'s...if that makes sense.1. Any slider suggestions for a realistic shortened race?

I have been running anywhere between 20-30 percent which feels pretty good so far.Comment

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions
Bro, I didn't get an early copy of F1. I played the pc version only, and the only way to get that was through Steam on release day. I have the luxory of playing these games for 24-48 hours at most sometimes, and you don't catch everything right at first. I have no issues with people complaining about this game, as it is not perfect, I just don't understand why it can't be done in a mature manner....that's it. People are going to agree and not agree with my reviews sometimes. It's all a matter of opinion, and sometimes mine and other's will just be different.Originally posted by banmelolAnyways, I can't wait to see next week when the complaints start pouring in and all feel ripped off. You can thank Bluengold34_OS who is clearly paid to write a very favorable review. How much is the developer paying you?
He did this exact same thing with F1 2010. Turned out to be the most broken game to come out in years, yet he got an early copy somehow and praised it exactly as he is doing now. This game will get a 5 or a 6 at gamespot and yet he'll make it sound like a 9.
Operation Sports and bluengold34_OS are paid off. Do a little research here and you'll see. Oh and don't insult the game or you'll have your post deleted and possibly get banned. They don't want any trouble makers here the day before launch.Last edited by bluengold34_OS; 03-28-2011, 01:23 PM.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

I reviewed games for this site for 10 years. Nobody is being paid off. Everybody has an impression, but you coming in and being so completely immature about it is why you were banned in the first place, and why they'll go and try and ban you again.Originally posted by banmelolAnyways, I can't wait to see next week when the complaints start pouring in and all feel ripped off. Blue enjoys the game. That's his right. I enjoyed NASCAR 09 when I reviewed it, and everybody now acts like it's complete garbage. I wasn't paid off. Not for that, not for Forza 3, and not for any number of games I may have enjoyed that the majority doesn't. We do (or did, in my case) it because we enjoy it.
When the enjoyment ends, it's usually because of guys like you. The game may be great--it may be crap. But Blue has been pretty clear in what he believes are the strengths and weaknesses. Your counter is that something that is a pretty big issue to you is not that big to some others. The problem is the WAY you put it, and how you attack people. Calling everybody morons, and now coming back claiming that OS and BnG is on the take.
Nobody cares if people chime in with issues they have with the game. People DO care if you act like a complete asshat about it.Comment

Re: NASCAR The Game 2011 Q&A and Impressions
he is right the game will not be that good. I'm still buying because I like Nascar and it will be better then any game EA had made. Also it is only 35 dollars at amazon with release day shipping so not wasting to much on it.Comment
