    FCS schools in 2012??!!

    So I called EA sports yesterday and here is how the phone call went.

    Me: Hey, I have a question, will FCS schools be included in this year's addition of NCAA football 2012?

    EA: Um, what?

    Me: FCS...the football chamionship sub-division.

    EA: Uhhhhh...well I THINK you can play with all 120 teams..

    Me: I know that, I meant the FCS teams..will the be included?

    EA: Please hold, I have to do some research on this sub-division you're talking about.

    ME: (On hold, obviously this guy knows NOTHING about college football because it's clear to me he doesn't even know what the FCS is)

    ten minutes later...

    EA: Yes sir, I asked a few staff members here at EA, and I also did some "research online" and I don't see why the sub-divison teams wouldn't be on there..I THINK they will be on there but I'm not sure.

    Way to go EA. Hiring a guy for the college football game series who doesn't even know what the FCS is, and whether or not they'll be included. The staff member was stumbling as he answered and clearly had no clue what he was talking about. Once again, EA never fails to amaze me.
    Don't get your hopes up, folks. The one guy who is supposed to know everything about the game his department works on has no clue what the FCS, or D1AA even is.

                  eh, id rather them use that space for something else other than FCS schools.

                      I'm pretty sure the operators that answer the phone are just tech support, or just people generally trained to answer basic questions. I really doubt they have much knowledge about the titles, other than how to redeem the online pass or troubleshoot a problem.

                              Mr. Magic- Improvements in teambuilder would be nice as well. I'd rather have the FCS schools because in teambuilder all I do is create/download the FCS teams anyway, so I guess I'll just have to stick to that for another year

                                  Pokes- I was transfered directly to the college football management team, so I figured he'd atleast know what the FCS was...but hey, maybe you're right.

                                      FCS teams is like a big feature. Do you think calling them up and asking them nicely is going to cause them to spill the beans on that to you way before they release that information to the general public?

                                      I'm gonna call EA and ask for a list of Franchise improvements in Madden...

                                          That just sounds too hilarious to actually exist, you throw a VP in front of it and it's one of Kevin Butler's many job titles.

                                          If it were that easy to get legit info, IGN would be doing it for every game.

                                                  You called EA???????? What would they tell you about the game??? You really think theyre gonna tell you a big waste of a feature in the game?? And yes im opposed to FCS teams. Why? Because it's a waste of disk space and only 1/3 of the people who buy this game will use this feature. THERES A REASON WHY TEAMBUILDER EXISTS!

                                                      FCS teams aren't really necessary, IMO. I know a lot of people are fans of those teams, but what is the gratification when they have a different championship system that you couldn't reenact in NCAA football games even if you wanted to? I think 120 teams is PLENTY to be honest. I'd much rather see the spare space go to fleshing out dynasty and RTG.

                                                          I am not against FCS schools, but it will take a alot of space from other features. I rather have the abilty to make a TB team and switch them with FCS Northwest, East, and the horrible teams. Probably on the newer consoles.
