I am a little confused about how the roster updates and patches work. Is the patch the thing that came up when you start the game and says an update is available? Do the rosters work the same way or do you have to go somewhere and download them? The reason i ask is because when i play exhibition games the O's still dont have Vlad.

Any patches that are released will automatically prompt you to download when you are connected to the internet.
Rosters- you have to go into SportsConnect and download from there.
There has only been 1 'official' roster update from SCEA but another one will surely be dropping shortly with opening day right around the corner and of course there is the one the lads are working on here at OS.
