How to put real life injured players on DL in Franchise
I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this. I need someone who knows how to, to explain to me in as much detail as possible. I don't even know how to injure my own players and move them to the DL. If I remember correctly it was quite easy to do so in either last year's game or 09. Thanks in advance.Tags: None -

yo bro i just figured it out. when u start your franchise, on the first menu it says something about computer roster control, turn that to OFF. it seems backward, since if cmp roster control was On, that means that i can control the cpu rosters. then go to gameplay settings and switch injuries to manual. then go to disabled list and hit R1. then scroll to the guy and do whatever u need to do to anybody.Comment

Sigh. I can get as far as going to the disabled list and hitting R1. Nothing happens when I press R1. This is so frustrating. Do I have a glitched copy of the game or something?yo bro i just figured it out. when u start your franchise, on the first menu it says something about computer roster control, turn that to OFF. it seems backward, since if cmp roster control was On, that means that i can control the cpu rosters. then go to gameplay settings and switch injuries to manual. then go to disabled list and hit R1. then scroll to the guy and do whatever u need to do to anybody.Comment

You need to have 30 team control turned on or it will only show the team you are controlling when you press R1.Currently Playing

Re: How to put real life injured players on DL in Franchise
I know this is beating a dead horse but I can't wrap my head around this. To give guys injuries to re-create real life, you have to have 30 team control?
....By having 30 team control do you have to pay attention to all 30?
....If I want a guy to start the year with an injury but also want injuries to happen naturally in game, how do I do that?Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Dallas Mavericks

dude when u start a franchise and it says computer ****** control, keep it set off. trust me. go into franchise settings after, and turn injuries to manual. go to disable list, press R1 and u will see all the players.

Re: How to put real life injured players on DL in Franchise
Im having the same problem as MDGA9. With 30 teams, I tested with computer roster control on and off and both times R1 wouldn't respond. I even tried to see if it didn't work in ST maybe in the regular season but no luck.MLB: Detroit Tigers
NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins
NCAA FB: Penn State
NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Re: How to put real life injured players on DL in Franchise
So last night a friend of mine explained to me what I was doing wrong. Here is how it works:
First off start a franchise.
Next select all teams by hitting square.
On the next screen several more options will pop up. DO NOT select CPU Roster Control because it'll cancel out the manual control later.
Now once you get into your Franchise go to Game Settings tab.
***This is where I got confused and believe everyone else is to.***
Most people are going to Mode Options and selecting manual next to injuries. This would make you think that injuries are in your hands.
However you need to go to Gameplay Options and go all the way down until you see Injuries. DO NOT select on or off, you have to put the option to MANUAL to be able to do injuries.
Now go to the disabled list and hit R1 and you'll be able to add injuries to anyone on any team.
NOTE: If you want to control just one team go to User Settings and set up 2 profiles. Knight explained how to do this in the first post of his Tips and work arounds thread that is stickied to the first page.Comment

Re: How to put real life injured players on DL in Franchise
Hey guys, thanks for the direction and guidance.
My question is this...I'm in a franchise controlling one team (Detroit) but I am able to manually assign injuries to any player in the league.
Problem is, with Toronto for instance, they have a bunch of pitchers injured right now (Francisco, Dotel, Morrow, McGowan, Carlson). I input all the proper injuries, but the Computer doesn't seem to put them on the DL, it just leaves them all on the bench so that the Blue Jays only have like 6 pitchers to work with.
Am I doing something wrong? I try and add the injured players to the DL on the computer controlled team but the game won't allow me.
Any advice?Comment
