Yea I was totally surprised when I saw that. I was just going to watch the selection show to watch it because I thought I would be in the NITs, and then my name showed up on the very second matchup. Needless to say I was ecstatic!

Re: Lathen Scott with an oppurtunity of a lifetime (College Hoops 2k8)
EARLY UIC 20 POINT LEAD DIMINISHED... COULD UC DAVIS PROVE CRITICS WRONG?

Hello Aggie fans this is Ryan Burns on 103.8 KUCD. Whether if you were listening to the game or watching, thank you for tuning in for the postgame. Coach's team showed a ton of heart today against the Illinois-Chicago Flames. UIC jumped out early on the Aggies going up as much as 24 led by Robert Kreps and Paul Carter. At first it looked like everything everyone said about the Aggies seemed true, why did they get into the tournament? Then something just hit the Aggies and they started fighting back. At halftime the score was 45-21 UIC. Then in the first few minutes of the second half both teams went back and forth hitting shots. Then UC Davis' defense stepped up and made some stops and hit 3s left and right. They were able to cut it to about 9 with 5 minutes left and the Saint Mary's game started to creep into their heads and they started to believe they could actually comeback. Illinois-Chicago, on the other hand, did not let UC Davis come all the way back and the Flames ended up pulling it out 89-77.
Now I am here with the head coach, Lathen Scott.
RB: Hey coach, tough loss today, what happened today that kept you guys from advancing?
LS: We just couldn't stop their main scorers, Kreps and Carter. Those two are prolific scorers and we knew that coming in. We just couldn't contain them tonight.
RB: How are the guys feeling right now?
LS: They are hurting as well as I am. It's always tough to lose a game like this, but I just love the heart they showed today. They were down huge early but they did not let that fase them and almost made a HUGE comeback. I feel terrible for my guys but I can tell you and all the Aggie fans that we will be back, you can count on it.
RB: Well congratulations on the great season coach. I think I speak for all Aggie fans in saying you did an amazing job this season and we look forward for many more.

Man those are some ugly brackets, the selection committee did a horrible job. What happened to Michigan State? Also, tough loss against Illinois-Chicago, I thought for sure you would be able to beat them, and you had a pretty easy bracket too you could have gone pretty far.Comment

Re: Lathen Scott with an oppurtunity of a lifetime (College Hoops 2k8)
Yea I was thinking the same thing on the brackets.Man those are some ugly brackets, the selection committee did a horrible job. What happened to Michigan State? Also, tough loss against Illinois-Chicago, I thought for sure you would be able to beat them, and you had a pretty easy bracket too you could have gone pretty far.
Michigan St. went 19-15 (7-11)
Durrell Summers: 17 ppg
Kalin Lucas: 15.8 ppg, 4.6 apg
Delvon Roe: 7.6 ppg, 6.2 rpg
Tough year for the Spartans even though they are an 86 overall. Yea I had a bad feeling about UIC going in honestly. Vandy played them back in the 08-09 season and UIC upset us by like 15 points on our floor. When I was doing a little scouting I started to get worried because they had some real nice scorers on their team.
Not too sure if we could have noise or not. We had already played North Carolina once and that did not go well at all as we lost by 23 or so. But hey you never know what could have happened.“If you’re true to yourself, you’re going to be true to everyone else.”Comment

Ok so I messed up with the NIT brackets and only posted only one half of them. I just went back and edited it so it is correct now. And hockeyplaya, Michigan St. made it to the NITs so check it out.“If you’re true to yourself, you’re going to be true to everyone else.”Comment
