25 New Plays Coming to NCAA Football 12 - Play #16: Ark HB Wheel

Over the next few weeks, EA Sports will show 25 new plays that you will find in NCAA Football 12.

New offensive plays will be shown every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while a new defensive play every Tuesday and Thursday. Each new play will be accompanied by a screen of the play art and a brief description of why the play has been added to NCAA Football 12.

Play #16 features the Ark HB Wheel.

"Shotgun Normal Flex Ark HB Wheel - Shotgun Normal Flex Ark HB Wheel should be a familiar play to the fans of Arkansas. This is the same play the Hogs used to score a touchdown on the third play of the game against Alabama last season. The concept known as “Shark” in the Arkansas terminology uses a shallow cross/dig combination in the middle of the field and a post/wheel combination on the outside. "

Still no special teams plays. *sigh*, if I do not have the option to fake punt run I might cry!

This is not new. They just added the HB wheel to a play that has been on the game. I forgot the name. But they would be better off making different hot routes. I.e. Post, wheel route, stop and go, quick screen.

pretty sure they are only showing offensive and defensive plays in this promotion thing. M, W, F are offense, Tu and Th are defense. But these 25 plays are not the only new plays, so I guess there is a chance for new special team plays. I didn't even think they would add new defensive formations, but they did.

But these 25 plays are not the only new plays, so I guess there is a chance for new special team plays. I didn't even think they would add new defensive formations, but they did.

Oops, forgot about that. I still wish they would acknowledge that special teams is stale and broken and needs to be fixed.

did anyone notice the damn play is drawn up wrong the wheel route is ran to the offense's left (see the video) the play is drawn for the wheel route on the right. the reason why the play works in real life is b/c of the misdirection of the other routes and the wheel route is ran against the flow of the offense. Damn EA get yo shhhhh*** together!

But it does that? The wheel route goes out, while all of the other routes cut to the opposite side? Flip the play and the wheel route runs to the right...

id like to see the wheel route as a hot route. what about position specific hot routes?
