The game is so good, I am starting to notice all these imperfections; an uncanny valley syndrome if you will. There has never been a game where people say things like "this guy should have a beard" or "this guys shoes look too sharp". So I have to give it a better score than my gut feeling. 9.5

I gave it a 9.1-9.5. If SCEA gets the issues resolved in the next patch I would give it a 10. The show is the sole reason I bought a PS3 in 09. I feel sorry for baseball fans that have to settle for that other baseball game.

Excellent game, best ever for baseball, but there are some issues:

*No league customization;

*being able to build ballparks;

*an option on defense to "edit-your-own" so you can make the rare defense of 5 infielders and 2 outfielders.

I have seen it done in the majors, I used it in whichever game gave you that option (I think it was High Heat Baseball). There is a time where that is the correct thing to do, and not to have an option sucks.

*Also, not being able to access baseball cards during a game (to see the players ratings, stats, etc.) is just silly and keeps it from going higher than 9.6. Very basic, and silly to be missing.

There are a few others, but when I look on the Internet at Mattel Intellivision Baseball from 30 years ago, I realize how incredible this game is. Funny thing was, I used to play that Intellivision game and really enjoy it.

I feel that this game is a 9.6. To me, this is the best Show yet. Love the new player models and all the new stat overlays. Great job SCEA!!!!!

9.6-10 because IMO it's the best console sports game ever made. Period.

i gave 9.1-9.5 only due to the franchise bug but once that gets fixed i would give it a ten

I'd give it:

Gameplay - 9.5
Online - 5
Franchise - 7
RTTS - 8

Overall, about an 8.3. The next patch might move it up towards 9. When I think of how good this game "could" be, I get a little depressed. The foundation is certainly there.

7.5. I feel the trade logic and 2013 bug really detract from the game, and I don't think the upcoming patch will fix all issues. They especially sink the RTTS mode. I've heard contract renewal and the 2013 bug will be fixed, but I have my doubts on the trade logic. I'll just hope the patch will give franchise/ RTTS players a playable game when it comes out.

Best Baseball and one of the best sports games available! I even know people who dont follow baseball and love this game. If you're expecting much more from this game, you're living in the wrong timeline

This is the first time I'm playing the show and I can honestly say this is the best sports game I'v ever played. I give it a 9.5 out of 10.

I gave 9.5 in my mini review. A half point off for still not fixing the silver slugger awards. :wink:
