Game freezes during start up??

anyone else having this issue? when the game starts up, and gets to the part where it shows the team logos, the game just freezes and ps3 xmb doesn't work either. it just started doing this, the disc looks fine too. anyone know what the problem could be? let me know please.

You mean at the "He took flight" screen during startup? If it is, i'm having the same problem too and it just started today for me. The game was working fine earlier today. I don't know any real solution other than turning off the PS3 and unpluging it for a while. Let me know if you discover anything.

Yah that one, i think i might try deleting stuff i downloaded from 2k share. did you by any chance also download the Socom Beta? i downloaded the update for it about half way and turned it off, since then 2k has been freezing, might be something with that. although other games are working fine.

I tried deleting the NBA 2k11 file in the Game Data folder and restarted my PS3 and it solved the problem. I also deleted all the NBA 2k11 files in the saved game data folder before I restarted my PS3. I had all the files saved on a usb drive just to make sure. I restarted my PS3 and the game worked fine and then I copied all the saved files back onto the hard drive.

you mean you restarted your ps3 back to factory default? or just deleted the 2k files? either way, good find.

I deleted just the 2k files then restarted my ps3 and started the game and it worked perfectly. Hope this solves your problem!

Restart, as in unplug the ps3 and start it? or go into system settings and restart it from there?

I deleted the 2k files, turned off the ps3 and started it up again, but it didn't fix it.

nvm, there was a 2k file on another account. now it works, thx man.

Yeah, if you delete the game data this problem will go away. You'll have to re-download the patch, though.

Ive had the same problem too. All i did was sign out of my psn account before loading the game and it works fine. but now my problem is whenever i try to connect to 2kshare and it says "connecting to 2ksports..." the game freezes. anyone else had this issue?

Same.. I cant play online at all.

just save your 2k files onto a usb, delete all the 2k files on your ps3. Then you'll have to download the patch again, but it's worth it, because it fixes it.
