about time....still if the gameplay isn't improved this year $60 will go towards something more useful

It would be an about face turn that would surprise many. Every year that leads up to the release of this title has this speculation that surrounds the game where we sort of reach out in hope that certain things will be addressed. But if we look at every iteration of this generation's showings, we see more on the side of a pretty name being attached to an insignificant feature.

Sure I'll be interested to see how the game looks and what others have to say about it, but as it stands the Madden series chose this generation to "play it safe" and ride on the heavy brand power of the NFL name. Not one "feature" this game introduced in the last 7 years offers any positive comparison to what we see other sports titles offering.

Ok, I dont mean to sound negative here but could somebody explain to me how surprise onside kick is a new feature. Surprise onside kick is part of the game. You may not see it oftenly used but its something that is a part of football. EA's slogan is "It's In The Game". I get that its called a feature there now but its something that could have been done without calling it a feature. I can do onside kicks on Madden 11, 10, 09, and etc. This is not a feature Ian. Plz put some effort and make this game good because your sales chart show will show otherwise. This is a make or break year Madden. Step your game up

There is going to be a difference from regular onside kicks and surprise onside kicks. Regular onside kicks you do is a different formation and all. But with the surprise onside. Your kickoff team will be in it's regular kicking formation and you will never know that the onsides is coming. This feature has never been in madden before. That's pretty much the difference.
