Trouble at the Shore?

Conway, SC - Last week it was reported that star F Mike Holmes was caught doing illicit drugs at a off campus party. Today, Coach Ellis has decided it is in the best interest of the program to remove Holmes from the team. This of course is a huge blow because CCU is already thin at F and Holmes was regarded as their best player. Here is the updated Roster/Depth Chart ( OVR in parentheses ):

Chanticleers survive test from Camels

Conway, SC - The Chanticleers knew this season would not be easy without Holmes, they got their first punch in the mouth Tuesday. CCU needed every minute in the game to put away the feisty Camels. Reserve Dexter Moore led the way for the Chants with 14 points. Hartley put up 16 for Campbell.

Bearcats overpower in the end

Cincinnati, OH - Everyone knew this game was a mismatch from the beginning. To give CCU credit, they hung in there through the first half. However, the second half was a totally different story with the Bearcats dominating. Kilpatrick led Cincinnati with 12, and Holloway led the way for Coastal with 16. CCU will attempt to rebound on Monday against Wright State.

Dayton, OH - Desmond Holloway tried as hard as he could to give his team the win, but tonight was not Coastal's night. Holloway put up a season best 30 points and the team still lost by 15. Reports are indicating that Coach Ellis was very nervous about the future of the team after this loss.

McNeese State hands CCU another loss.

Lake Charles, LA - Coach Ellis wouldn't admit it to the press but how could he not be nervous? Coastal falls to 1-3 and has a very tough test in Houston on the way. CCU has no clear leader with Holmes gone and it showed in this loss, the team shot 15-47 (a season low). Coach Ellis better figure out a way to turn it around soon.

Haha, good point. Defense is certainly lacking this year. I didn't know they changed their logo, looks better now.

Houston took care of little Coastal Carolina

Houston, TX - It was another mismatch that CCU laid down for. To give CCU credit, they again held their own for a half but unfortunately the whole game is two not one. The Chants have the next two weeks off so hopefully they can practice and pull out another win. Is it conference play yet??
