EA: A Fairly Easy but Awesome Audio Addition...Team Specific Kickoffs!!!

I saw the thread that Adam started asking for specific Cheerleader cheers, etc. and I got to thinking.

How about team specific kickoffs?

For example...Auburn fans yell "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar" up to the point the kicker kicks off then exclaiim "Eagle!! Hey!!" Here it is in motion....

Bama does it with "Roooooolllll" (I can't bring myself to type the rest of that)

I would think programming this to work exactly would be fairly easy. Start the audio before the kick and then have the kicker's motion trigger the completion of the audio.

Thoughts? This would be a ridiculously cool addition if done properly (i.e. timed for the length of the kickoff, etc.)

I've seen the Arkansas one irl and it's pretty cool lol. Even more so when I was a Gator in Arkansas stadium

YOu know what else would be nice? If kickes actually made contact with the ball. Watch a e-play, and you'll see the ball moves before the kicker hits it. It's no biggie, it just annoys me.


And yeah, this would be a cool idea. They can even just thow in a generic drum roll for any teams they couldn't find a chant for.

that would be awesome...EA really needs to focus on the atmosphere if not this year then next...thats the only thing that kept 11 from being great imo

i thought they already did this for some teams? i think alabama does the rooooooollll tide roll one on their kickoff

I picked up all the Auburn music from a site linked from here in another thread and I've got the kick-off chant/clip programmed in. All I have to do -- because the "Warrrrrrrrrrr" in the music file is a little lengthy at the beginning -- is count 8 seconds after the player art disappears and it's timed perfectly.

It was crazy all last fall watching Auburn games, then playing my own games to the same band chants/clips.

One thing I wish would be added is that a team's band music list (KO, turnover, TD, etc.) could be used in conference championship and bowl games, perhaps only if you are the home team. Don't know why my band wouldn't show up for the SEC championship game, and if I'm the home team why my music can't be inserted instead of the default tunes.

Don't have a video handy, but Ohio State does "OOOO" while everyone is lining up and then on the approach and while its in the air does "H-I-O"

That's what I thought. I know Michigan and Ohio State have something in the game, along with a few other teams.

They may say a chant, etc. But there is no recreation of team specific kickoff chants as shown above.
