I agree with this. I have said this before, that it just seems too suspicious that both these guys were the two who were brought onto ESPN to promote this contest since day 1.

Wasn't rigged. But this could be an inside SICK JOKE. We all know the browns are considered the "dawgs" and with vick going against hillis it could be someones intentions of basing it off this joke. Ridiculous.

Re: Madden NFL 12 Cover Athlete Finals: Peyton Hillis vs. Michael Vick

I don't really find Peyton Hillis and Michael Vick both being on "Mike and Mike" that suspicious. Cleveland could have easily stuffed the ballot box to get their boy into the finals. And Michael Vick is polarizing enough to get a significant amount of troll-votes. The bottom line is that a true rigged vote would have conspired to get the most attractive coverboy as the victor, and both Hillis or Vick have huge question marks. From a marketing standpoint, they are both quite risky commodities.

Alright, I'll give you that. What's your take on Danny Woodhead being the Pat's representative and not MVP Tom Brady? I don't know what the bracket set-up was off hand, but my feeling is that Brady would've won in a landslide. Thus making it hard for whomever was slated to be the coverboy to actually win-out.

EA probably had to get the 32 participants to agree to the cover beforehand, Brady could have easily declined.

Re: Madden NFL 12 Cover Athlete Finals: Peyton Hillis vs. Michael Vick

It seems no matter what people still think it's rigged even when Hillis beats Rodgers. Why the hell would they rig this anyway? It's a freakin' cover for god's sake. The only reason I can even think of why they would rig this is for marketing reasons, for example NBA 2K11 and MJ. But if they wanted to put a more well know player on the cover for sales, why did they have a cover voting contest when they can slap on any player they want?

              Beyond me..

How does Rogers get voted out? Madden gamers dissapoint me, but really that is no big surprise.

There's no winning this one. EA made a bold attempt at involving the community, and the community screwed them.

I was shocked when I saw that Hillis beat Rodgers. At first, I thought that pretty much guaranteed Vick being on the cover. But, Hillis appears to have quite the following.

In this case then why did include Vick at all? They left out Brady and Manning, I'm sure they could have found another Eagle representative.

While those 2 probably declined like they always do I think, it would have been a smarter business move to just put Desean Jackson instead of Vick

Well Vick is obviously a different player now than he was before. Also it was 8 years ago that he made the cover and there is whole legion of madden players now.

I'm voting for Hillis, absolutely. I have absolutely nothing against Vick. He did his time, and I don't care about the dog thing anymore, not one bit. It's just that it's going to be HILARIOUS to see Peyton Hillis on the cover. I want it to happen, really bad.

Peyton Hillis is like a better faster, stronger, and more flexible version of Mike Alstott. Peyton Hillis is the winner. I Hope.

Even though I am a big Mike Vick fan and voted for him. I wont mind at all if Hillis is selected and wont be surprised. Hillis basically blew out everyone.
It is funny how the two candidates that first promoted the cover tournament ended up the last two candidates.
I am surprised that Rodgers didnt make it though. If there was no tournament to try to market the game, he would have been the choice.I think they tried to have the finals Vick vs Rodgers.
I dont really like repeat covers like MLB the show, NBA 2k with Shaq.
Hopefully with Hillis on the cover the run game is better for Power back
                                Everyone likes a underdog story.
