    Habs World Order (NHL11 BAGM)

I'm going to use the Montreal Canadiens of a fantasy draft with a twist.
    Difficulty: Superstar
    Period Length: 10 minutes
    Custom Sliders

Gary Bettman: I've spoken to all of the representatives here, at the World Hockey Summit, and we all feel that the sport needs to grow globally, not just here in North America. That is hard to do when all of a country's best players are playing overseas. IIHF President Rene Fasel and I are going to start working together to create the IIHF Superleague. It will contain 15 former NHL teams and 15 teams from across Europe. All of the teams participating will follow. Thank you.

    Teams

    NHL Conference

    Canadian Division
    Vancouver Canucks
    Edmonton Oilers
    Calgary Flames
    Montreal Canadiens
    Toronto Maple Leafs

    Eastern Division
    New York Rangers
    Boston Bruins
    Pittsburgh Penguins
    Washington Capitols
    Philadelphia Flyers

    Western Division
    Los Angeles Kings
    San Jose Sharks
    Chicago Blackhawks
    Detroit Red Wings
    Dallas Stars

    European Conference

    Nordic Division
    Modo Hockey
    Frolunda Indians
    Brynas IF
    Espoo Blues
    Helsinki Jokerit

    Western Division
    Great Britain HC
    France HC
    HC Bern
    HC Davos
    Eisbaren Berlin

    Eastern Division
    Dynamos Moscow
    Kazahkstan HC
    Hannover Scorpions
    HC Plzen 1929
    HC Eaton Pardubice

Let's see how this plays out. Please comment and leave comments to help me develope this.

Sounds like an interesting idea. Going to be weird to play some games in NHL rinks and others in International rinks.
    NHL: Vegas Golden Knights
    NCAAF: Ohio State
    NFL: Minnesota Vikings
    MLB: Chicago Cubs

This should be interesting for sure. If you're asking for help to run it, I'm not sure lol.

But what I would do in a fantasy draft is I pick a theme, so I either pick all Russians, all Americans, all Power Forwards and Defensive D-men, whatever.

May be off topic but yeah lol that's my input.

I really just tried to go for all the young players I could. I've got 5 rookies in my starting lineups.

That's always good. One time I picked Skinner, Seguin, Hall, etc.

By year 3 you have 90 overall players playing for 1 mil

I'm sad to see no Senators in this league....but otherwise an interesting concept. Should be fun to watch everything play out.

            GOLDEN KNIGHTS -
            YANKEES - EA

Sorry, I wanted to get all of the older teams I could and since the Sens are from the 90s I thought they'd be the Canadien team to drop. I dropped my own favorite teams, New Jersey and Nashville, in the sake of reality.

"In order to ensure an even playing field, all of the owners and the players association have agreed to void all contracts from the member European teams, the 15 current, the 15 folded NHL teams, and the minor league and junior rights to player. To build rosters we will have a draft of all of the voided contracts, the order of which will be decided by the means of a lottery to be held next week. Thank You."- Gary Bettman

Good picking, you went pretty young but you do still have a lot of proven players, should be a good season.

After a preseason to think about the depth chart of his club, rookie coach Scott Stevens has decided that he wants Brian Boucher to play behind Corey Crawford instead of Alex Auld. After the move was made public, rookie GM Scott Neidermayer placed Auld on waivers.

Montreal controlled the game from the opening faceoff outshooting the Blueshirts 41-25 and doubling their time on attack. The game was highlighted by the captain, Saku Koivu, beating Henrik Lundqvist from just inside the center red line trying to clear after the only penalty kill of the game. "I just wanted to get off the ice, but I put it on net and Lundqvist ... I guess he was sleeping. (Laughs)" says a cheery Koivu.

                            October Wrap-up

                            Montreal (2-6-3 7pts) month: 2-6-3 7pts

Good- Here we have a youthful team here, give them some time to figure their game out. Remember most of these players had never played together.

Bad- Offense, there is no attack being generated. This team was held to 1 goal or less in 5 of the 9 games played.

Ugly- Goaltending. Not much to say. Craw's save pct is in the .830s and Bouch has been winless in his 3 starts.
