It's sad that this amount of people don't view Hillis as a stud (not surprising though).

He hasn't had a bad season since entering the league except for the year he met Josh McDaniels. Good for him, I hope he wins.

Sorry but that is just wrong info. Hillis has had one good season which was last year.

The year before that 54 yards in in 14 games (Josh Year)

Year before that 343 in 12 games.

Not exactly Madden cover vote

He is also a dude that takes major punishment due to style so he is not going to be good for more then a couple of more years/ It is the norm

Bad choice to have him.

And to say that fans have spoken is not smart because the casual fan

1/ Does not know who he is

2/ Does not even know a vote is happening

Dumb move to have Hillis in the cover

Why don't they put multiple players on the cover? I'm talking like 5-6 players and have it regionalized like SI covers. That would eliminate a lot of this controversy

Its not that serious. Whats on the cover of a video game has never influenced my decision to buy a game. If something so small influences you to not buy a game then you have issues.

Just to add a suggestion, one thing a lot of those other are missing one thing that Hillis did have last year, excitement, he may have been one of the most entertaining players in the league to watch. He runs people over and BOTH sidelines were going crazy, fans from both teams in the stands went crazy. Hillis has the wow factor vs the other backs mentioned, not t9 mention he would be comeback player of the year if it weren't for Vick.p

it's not always about numbers. Hillis has that never quit, im going to run through(or over lol) you if you don't move mentality which is lacking in the NFL these days. The guys got a lot of heart and id be more than happy to see him on the cover.

Like I said, I love his grit...he's a real blue collar guy...and like you said you don't see that ethic alot anymore.....just dont' see him as a cover athlete.

Not according to the NFL. 73 yds/game still nets you over 1,000 yds per year and that is an accomplishment in the NFL.

There are many backs that do not gain that magical 1000yds per season. He ranked 7th in the AFC.

1,000 yards used to be an accomplishment. Now its expected from at least 1 of the backs on your team.

bruising running backs don't last long especially when they have to play the ravens and steelers twice a year somebody is going to lay him out ray lewis or james harrison cleveland better get that passing game quick an hillis is average.

Honestly, though, I'm all for Peyton Hillis. The cover athlete doesn't really change my opinion of purchasing Madden (except if it was a Jaguar).
