I think the Browns 'lack of a passing game' comes from the fact that they rarely go vertical in the passing game. This will be much the same even with AJ Green or Julio Jones (assuming they go that direction) since the rumors have Shurmur being a WCO guy.

Not to mention, Colt McCoy has a slight noodle arm that isn't ideal for a deep-threat passing game. Just one that involves accurate short passes to set up Peyton Hillis and Montario Hardesty.
