hey say it's "harder to pinpoint your location" with meter pitching. I find this to be true, but in a good way...pitches that I threw that were just slightly off the yellow line were often meatballs before the patch, now they land more often than not outside the zone...this has actually improved my ability to pitch on HOF, and the frequency of walks I issue (especially to dangerous hitters when I try to pitch around them) has increased and seems much more natural and realistic...before I was getting hammered on HOF, even with good pitchers.
I'm also not as worried about throwing wild pitches with runners on base, since the catcher's ability to block or catch pitches in the dirt seems much more realistic now....before I was hesitant to throw pitches low in those situations, which contributed to a high frequency of meatballs...
