    Nuggets Association

Haven't played association for a while and I've decided to start a new one with my Nuggets.

    Roster:
    Ty Lawson
    Raymond Felton
    Nene
    Kenyon Martin
    Danilo Gallinari
    JR Smith
    Arron Afflalo
    Wilson Chandler
    Al Harrington
    Chris Andersen

Obviously this team is lacking a superstar so I would like to know what trades I should make to make this team better or which superstars I could get in a realistic trade.

Honestly I like the current roster as it is...The only person I dont care for is Kenyon Martin.

I think half the fun is developing the superstar yourself... you could turn either Felton or Lawson into super PGs... I like Anderson but he's getting old... I'd maybe try and package him in a deal with either lawson or Felton and Kmart (pick who you want to build around) for another PG and a cheaper younger defensive minded center or one with potential. You could probably get Deandre Jordan cheaply and develop him as you go... just depends how you like to play the game also.

Personally I like to run with a young team and develop them, but then that's because I am a Twolves fan and most of their roster is young.

Play around with trade finder, select the guys you're keen on offloading, and see what other teams offer you. I got Bledsoe and Deandre Jordan that way while getting rid of Ridnour and a couple other fellas. Makes my team really young.

Yeah good idea Ty Lawson has good potential so I might develop him into a superstar. I like to run with a young team too so I'll play around with trade finder and probably trade away some of the older big men for younger ones with potential.

          Re: Nuggets Association

I was able to turn Lawson, Felton, cap filler, and a pick for Chris Paul and Aaron Gray a little before the trade deadline when the Hornets were struggling. You might think it's unfair, but you don't have to make that move. The team is good either way.

One of the problems I found with the new Nuggets was player roles. There are just too many good players. Felton, Gallo, and Harrington all think they should be at least 6th men, which obviously can't happen. I like Al the least out of all of them, so I traded him to Toronto for Reggie Evans (a good rebounder who doesn't need to be more than a bench warmer) and their first round pick (which is generally going to be bad).

I've also been developing Timofey Mozgov's defense every month. Post defense drill, got him up to around 63-64 overall by the time the playoffs started. He's a huge body (7'1") and is young. He's a decent rebounder already but his offense and defense needs some work. Hoping to turn him into a defensive beast. Should get him to 70 overall in by the end of next season.
