SOmething I would love to see is Mock Drafts coming back. IT can give the user a idea of where players might come out at. It can be just a Round 1 Mock Draft.

Re: Madden NFL 12 - Any Given Sunday In Franchise Mode
One could guess that D. Dubobe was the Number 1 overall pick for the Browns in the pics since his name is not on the top pic. Which would be great for me because Browns made a Need Pick for the Top PickComment

He only lost it one out of three times in that game and 12 man in the huddle plus Farve's INt cost the Vikings a trip to the Superbowl.. He's has two season of fumling 4 times or less.. I don't believe that should be consider a fumbler especially when some could exchange between him and the QB..

That fact won't make one iota of difference in the quality of this game. Regardless of how long it took, it looks like EA is finally delivering; can't people enjoy a football video game's improvements for once and avoid this line of thinking?Comment

Re: Madden NFL 12 - Any Given Sunday In Franchise Mode
I'm extremely pleased with the new additions. I was just thinking a few weeks ago about how they should change rookie progression, because some players (like LaGarrette Blount), start out not expected to do well, yet progress a ton during the season and do really well. I think the dynamic player ratings/player roles mimics football much closer than the previous, stagnant rating system, as it will create a much more dynamic atmosphere where certain players can suddenly become studs.Irish-Chargers-Padres-Kings-Cavs-USD-SDSU

CHooe, people are frustrated bro. Some folks been waiting 7 years for player roles to return. Some folks been waiting 7 years for EA to finally deliver. They're tired of hype, broken promises, that 'wait till next year' feeling. You are an optimist bro, and hopefully you can rub off on the masses of frustrated people. But you gotta see why our fellow Madden gamers are a little frustrated....
However, with noticeable improvements with FM this year, why continue to look back instead of looking forward to the changes being made.
All I'm saying, regarding FM, is that I totally agree with the frustrations of FM from last year to LG, but this year should be something to look forward to. Give criticisms when they are due, but also give props when props are due as well.
(I won't give props until the game is delivered and in my hands, but I'm not looking back either until the game is delivered)Comment

Should these have been in the next-gen Madden games by now? Yes. Does the fact that they weren't discredit the fact that they're in now? No.Comment

I am not the only one saying this.
The fact is IT TOOK THEM 7 YEARS TO BRING BACK LAST GEN Features.
If YOU(Chooe) where happy with the franchies mode this gen, then good for you.
But I am thinking they could do better.Comment

The thing is we should be beyond where the game should be. Not adding everything back in (And yes I actully going to get madden this year because they add 2 of my fav back in the game thats wapens and roles.)Comment

Re: Madden NFL 12 Franchise Mode Details, More Coming Monday (IGN)
I don't understand the hate for bringing back a feature that was on last gen. What I really don't understand is the thought of "It was on ps2 so it should have been in the PS3 version". My understanding is that the PS3/360 version is not a port of the PS2/Xbox version... so... you cannot just say that they new version should have included all the features of the old version. What you have to look at is the development cycle of the old game. How long did it take them to get to the point where they could add player roles on the old gen? It took them many years of development and building on previous years to get things where they were. Starting on a new generation of console is in many ways like starting over. They can't just magically port something over that took years to build on last gen consoles with last gen technology.
Having a yearly contract and a yearly development cycle is tough. For the fans, it would be better for the game to come out every 2 to 3 years, but that just doesn't make financial sense for those involved. That would be like me coming to your job and say "you work 2 years and I will pay you one year's worth of wages". The NFL and EA just aren't going to lose revenue for an entire year to make a better game because they won't sell twice as many copies.
What it means is that developers have X amount of man hours to spend on developing a game and they have to choose what to spend those hours on. It took this long for player roles to make it onto that list. It sucks for us... I agree, but that is the reality of how the world works.
It is easy to sit back and say they should have put this in back in 2009, but if they would have, then you would still be complaining about the feature they left out to put in player roles. That is just the reality of a yearly development cycle.
This is a good link to look at how the series developed on last gen

Re: Madden NFL 12 Franchise Mode Details, More Coming Monday (IGN)
I think some of the frustration comes from lack of competition. Without competition EA will push themselves as far as they want to go. With competition they would be forced to push themselves at least as hard as the competition and continue to innovate and improve.
I just think that if there were 2 NFL games on the market there is no way they would walk into E3 and basically say "well, we didn't touch Franchise mode, but we'll get it next year."
They wouldn't and couldn't do that b/c they would have to be looking over their shoulder at what the competition did to improve franchise mode.
With that being said, I just skipped Madden last year - and I didn't miss it. This year with new Franchise Mode features I'm going to have to get it. I really like what the team did for this year's game - I just want to see that type of franchise advancement from year to year.Comment
