I wish it had the spawn game feature back. This feature was basically so 2 people can play a franchise offline at the same time, by not having to wait for your friend to play his game then it would be your turn. Instead you would save the franchise to a memory card and load it to a different system. When the other player is done with the game you could then load it to the original console that the franchise is still saved on. Cut the time in half. Of course due to online gaming this feature is a thing of the past.
well why should we have to pause game? in game saves shouldnt even be that hard put into the game and yea they may take 45 minutes or so but what happens if u have an emergency come up so u suppose pause u game for hrs on end? thats not good for your system or tv.

Wow, this blog just took me from zero interest in Madden12 to interested enough to read up on other improvements. Not quite a definite purchase, but I'll play the demo and wait to hear how things play out after release... it may not sound like much, but it took impressive additions like these to get me off the "no way" list.

I don't think having to replay the first 12 minutes of my game because of an emergency is all that unreasonable. These consoles can be left on for days at a time with no harm at all if they have the proper ventilation.

Also forgetting that when you pause your xbox/ps3 you can just turn off your tv

I can see where he's coming from though, I remember in-game saves being in Madden 03 (I think) and I used them a lot.

Its important to some people, but not most people. I have a playstation that i rarely turn off due to folding@home and it still runs fine. You can always turn off your TV.

If its a serious emergency i doubt you will take time to save your game before you rush off. just saying. How disappointed are you really gonna be if you shut the game down at halftime?

"We’ve also randomized names and numbers this year so that you won’t recognize individual players each time you start a new franchise."

Anybody have any idea what the above statement means? Why would we not recognize NFL players? Does this mean Tom Brady will be QB #19 or something? I'm confused

That's from the paragraph about draft classes.

Basically makes it harder to tell what draft you are picking players from of the pre-generated lists, those who are into that sort of thing will probably have to identify the drafts by the makeup of rounds/top ten.

Sounds great, but the big question for me is will all this carry over to online franchise since that's the only mode I'm interested in.

Also sometimes you cant avoid those pesky rolling black-outs, power-outages, circuit breaks and drunken drivers running into telephone poles or stupid Canadian Geese flying into transformers.

So Looman cleared up the Mike Vick "20-point swing"

"If a player is inconsistent, you could see pretty significant rating swings from week-to-week.

One week you might get the 90 overall Michael Vick and the next week you might get the 70 overall Michael Vick. Or you could just get the 80 overall Michael Vick.

If a player is very consistent, their ratings will only change slightly each week and you’ll typically always know what you’re getting (example: Peyton Manning or Tom Brady)."

I'm not sure if I missed it or not, but with all this new trade logic being put in, will the computer initiate trades with each other and more importantly the user? (during the first 6 weeks of the season as well as the draft)
