Re: Madden NFL 12 Blog - Franchise Mode in Madden 12

The potentials I'm ok with. Cutler does have the potential to be a great QB, anyone who knows football knows this, he just has to put it together and the Bears HAVE to build around him. Hanie showed he's a good QB as well. The funniest part was Todd Collins saying, "Just give me a shot. This is my one chance."

Re: Franchise Blog by Josh Looman
The option to hide it would be great but i think with the randomized names and numbers itll be much harder for my online guys to figure out the draft class. As a Commishoner man did that irk the hell outta meDIE HARD Knicks, Yankees, and Titans fan...

I'm really blown away by these upgrades (assuming they don't require several patches)! Looman just seems to "get it."Comment

I'm not sure if I understand it correctly, but I actually like this. Basically, if a guy scouts Player X, see's that he's a 10 year starter, 85 overall at RB, drafts him, and god forbid you have to restart the franchise, this feature will prevent that same guy (or others, if it's in online franchise) from identifying Player X again and just drafting him right off the bat without having to do any work because the classes didnt randomize. Basically, every time you enter the offseason, you're gonna have you're work cut out for you.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 12 Blog - Franchise Mode in Madden 12
Maybe I missed it, but I'm curious if the expanded rosters and fixed IR mean we'll get a practice squad as well? It mentions the rosters as a preseason function, but I'd like to be able to resign guys to a reserve squad at least.
It would also be nice if players in there developed (albeit at a slower rate perhaps) as well. I just would love to be able to pluck someone from there to fill in for some injuries and give them a shot. Even if it's not that deep and simply just a list of players, it'll be a start.
Either way, EA has done a good job of reinstating some last gen favs and adding some new depth and depth from HC. I'm actually looking forward to a Madden franchise mode for the first time in several years.Comment

Because Cutler has the potential to be better. Sure, he probably wouldn't progress at the rate of say Cam Newton or Blaine Gabbert, but if the Bears EVER DECIDE to build around him, and he finally puts everything together (
) , yet he had a C potential, he wouldn't be rewarded for his play. Remember, he's still only about 26 or 27, so an A potential isn't far fetched. Besides DeAngelo Hall, many think AND know he has the potential to be one of the best in the league, he just has to put it all together.
