Some skeptics. I still want to see the finished product. How often have we been told things by companies, only to be seriously let down when the product rolls out.

That said, I, for one, am cautiously optimistic.

Excellent point. I just hope that it works the way they intend it to do so.

Being able to edit rookies in the draft classes is great, especially if it can be done with NCAA Football 12 classes. This means we can do our research (Basically putting Mel Kiper and Todd McShay's scouting reports to good use!) and edit the player traits of guys like Andrew Luck, LaMichael James, and so on, so forth. Looks like it's gonna be a good year for the sim gamer.

Great job EA. Stuck with you since Madden 2002 (Daunte Culpepper on the cover, was one of the best Madden's to come out, if not the best, to me.) and it's been a long time coming.

Man just way to many pages to read though. But overall I'm just so happy with all the upgrades to Franchise mode this year. Been able to trade future picks and the new FA bidding system and so on. So much to take in at this point in time. But I have to say to Josh great job on the blog bro. But I also want to think both Josh and Adem for the time they put into all this to make this franchise mode playable again. Thanks alot guys. The Future of Madden Franchise mode looks bright indeed.

The other end of that is that the life of a franchise is dynamic. Just because the 2001-2011 Patriots have the tendency to trade down and rack up draft picks does not mean that the 2025-2035 Patriots will behave the same way. Similarly, do we expect the 2025 Detroit Lions to draft like the Matt Millen-era Lions?

Not sure how - or if - you can build that sort of flow into a console franchise, but it would be fun.

Just the fact that we can finally trade future draft picks increases my interest in this game.

You had that in Madden 09, I believe. If you signed a RFA, you gave up a pick based on level of tender.

Wow! Thank you Josh Looman! That blog just may be the best thing I've read in a very long time. Although it likely killed M11, the 2 year cycle for franchise is going to make M12 great.

Also I think M11's suffering sales (when franchise was mostly skipped) may have opened some eyes at EA as to how important franchise mode really is to Madden's fanbase.

I like what I'm hearing so far. I would like a little clarification on the coaches and the impact they have on a team. Is it only Head Coaches that affect the player performance or coordinators also? And are there position coaches this year?

All in all, good stuff. What I'm reading into the "Dynamic Player Performance" and every game now feeling organic, is that I can now go into a franchise game against the CPU with a legitimate fear of getting beat. No more 16-0 without trying. I'm looking forward to rolling up a legit 10-6 or 9-7 record and just squeak into the playoffs. I look forward to playing an away playoff game.

Just tell me the pass rush is tuned and I don't think I'll be able to leave the house this fall.

God, this is just too perfect. I'm trying to temper my excitement and hopes for the game to avoid any disappointment, but this franchise mode absolutely sold me on it.
The Last of Us is the Citizen Kane of video-games. It is better than every game that has ever come before it, and is the new benchmark for all games to follow. It is nothing short of a work of art.

For anyone who has never played HC09 let me tell you first hand your going to love the free agent auctions. truly awesome, fast and intense.

The scouting upgrades are going to be also very cool. The best parts of HC09 are being implemented into Madden 12. Scouting is probably the biggest part of HC09 and preparing for your draft.

The only thing I am very curious about is the draft itself and the presentation and the ability to trade during the drafts (up or down).

All in all though Madden 12 is going to deliever.

Josh and Adem....great work and thanks for listening.

Yeah, true, and that went through my head. I think the one question anyone would ponder, besides how much longer with the Pats keep trading down and stockpiling picks, is how much longer will the Raiders continue to try to put together an Olympic track team? But I think this is a good base, since there are no GMs that would bring over their tendencies. At least I can go into the draft knowing the Raiders might relive the 2009 draft and pick another Darrius Heyward-Bey high in the draft. (I predicted they would do that maybe 15 minutes before they drafted, haha.

THIS. I pretty much KNEW I could win the Super Bowl every year, so eventually I just forced myself to accept how I was playing in any give game. I look forward to being challenged week in, week out. Hopefully I can legitimally build a franchise now around Blaine Gabbert, MoJo and the Jags, if I decide to use them. (Loved their aggressiveness in going up to get him, though I always envisioned either Tim Tebow or Jake Locker in a Jags uniform in the future.)

I'm pretty sure they scrapped the entire Extra Point show because they said couldn't do it right, so that more than likely answers all your questions.
