Re: Madden NFL 12 Blog - Franchise Mode in Madden 12
ah ok, i haven't done an offline franchise since 05 so i didn't even know there was a limit...that must have been frustrating. good to hear that has been addressed though, think with the roster fixes that might have solved it. just watch a couple episodes of hard knocks last night really got me lookin forward to an in-depth franchise again.Comment

This is similar to how I felt like reacting after reading this...

Re: Madden NFL 12 Blog - Franchise Mode in Madden 12
I saw your reply. There isnt a limit in real life, but there is a limit in Madden. I like to stock pile on picks. I usually feel needs during Free Agency and take best available who fits scheme. If someone isnt there I trade down. If I dont like the player, I just cut him. It is not a big deal now since we can trade for future picks. SO I will just trade for future picks alotIm not sure if you can see my reply, but from what I researched and based off of what you asked, Id have to think it's still at a 10 draft pick limit, and for a reason. Usually, most teams only get around 9-12 a year, especially since most teams so only a few guys they really like and since they can trade for future picks (We can too now). But, there is no real limit, so a team could trade its entire team and get enough pick to draft an entire team if they wanted to. I can't recall this ever being done, and how mad would you be if this happened in an online franchise?
I dont play online. but it would be frustratingComment

I feel the same. If we were to assume that most first rounder's are consistently between 79-85 OVR, then I's have to assume Mark Ingram is at the most a 79, though realistically he should be a 77. Also, he'd have to be the highest rated RB. So using that, and knowing guys like Mikel LeShoure would then be around 72-74, they'd have to not be willing to pull on LeShoure with that 1st round pick UNLESS the team is known for not drafting well or it just really falls in love with the guy.
But, it's looking like the draft is at least fixed in general. I can't be the only one who had to restart the draft multiple times because the Colts seemed to be in love with that 1st round QB EVERY YEAR.Comment

where's the immersion stuff? i saw no mention of news papers, sports shows, or anything like that. if i cut tony romo, i want to see that in a headline or talked about on a radio show or whatever. i want to feel that change. but again, i guess i won't.
think i'll go with ncaa this year as i'm pretty sure their dynasty mode didn't ditch all the cool stuff that made the mode fun to play.My score for Madden 13: 4.5/10
3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.Comment

not sure if it has been asked... but no RFA's? such an easy thing couldn't be added. Not to seem picky or something but I do love all these features.Don't let good be the enemy of greatComment

I don't get the need for the newspaper. You want them to waste time on a "feature" that essentially just repeats back to you what you did?
I get wanting the radio show back. That was sort of cool, I guess. But I don't understand the appeal of the newspaper.Last edited by Bellsprout; 05-16-2011, 03:51 PM.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

I feel you... I am one of the few people I know that loved the radio show on last gen Madden... but, no way would I skip this lol. The changes they have added are going to make personnel management in franchise deeper than it has ever been. I mean stuff like age, experience, traits and tendencies will all matter this year. Unless they added this to NCAA which I doubt, this is going to be a much deeper franchise.where's the immersion stuff? i saw no mention of news papers, sports shows, or anything like that. if i cut tony romo, i want to see that in a headline or talked about on a radio show or whatever. i want to feel that change. but again, i guess i won't.

They have a limited development cycle. They couldn't get everything in in just one year. Maybe next year we will see news papers and radio return.Follow me on Twitter @cavemangamer

Re: Madden NFL 12 Blog - Franchise Mode in Madden 12
Extras can come later... having a fun franchise to play is what makes everything else even greater. I just may be back on with Madden this year, only time will tell but so far, it's looking good. The last season I've played was for M10 with the Packers randomly selected, I made it about 4 weeks in before never touching a madden again. These additions look like fun.Bleed Green 24/7... EAGLES!!

I would like some news source or information/storyline section. It would be nice if there was something in the game to make you aware of things going around the league (cuts, disputes, benching, injuries. hot and cold streaks) in an easy to access form (not just browse through each team's roster)Comment

So you mention immersion, then bring up a newspaper as you're main point? Who still reads newspapers, honestly? I can tell you, not the majority of the US or World, and especially not Madden players. And Who would you want to go ALL THE WAY to a newspaper just to find out who the Cowboys cut this week? Having is displayed on the main hub was perfectly fine with me.where's the immersion stuff? i saw no mention of news papers, sports shows, or anything like that. if i cut tony romo, i want to see that in a headline or talked about on a radio show or whatever. i want to feel that change. but again, i guess i won't.

Re: Madden NFL 12 Blog - Franchise Mode in Madden 12
My games take 1.5-2 hours (15 minute quarters, accelerated), so in-game saves would've been nice. I oftentimes only have an hour to play a game then hit work or something else, it's tough to find a large window of time to play a game. I just can't stand to play shorter quarters and not get realistic full game statistics, especially if the rest of the league is.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

this looks really amazing i cant wait for august 30. i cant even wait for the demo and if you do a demo do a 5min quarter demo like last year to feed my madden craze until august 30. if you can though bring espn radio and newspapers in franchise mode to make it even better. now tell us what your plans are for superstar mode.Sent from either my IPad or Itouch.
