with all these new changes this year for madden 12 I wonder how the game will deal with the carson issue

My guess is he will be on the Bengals, since he is still under contract and hasnt officially retired yet (unless the CBA is settled and Palmer or the Bengals make a decision)

Ditto......I think their rule of thumb will be to leave everything as it is now. Guys who were supposed to be free agents will be free agents. Guys that are under contract will remain on their respective teams. Roster updates will come out as conditions change.

Am I the only one who really really really hopes all players designated FA's are in FA come Madden 12? I'd LOVE to have the opportunity to start my year with a REAL FA's and go from their. I'm fine with post draft, but an actual FA and Pre-Season atmosphere.

What's there to wonder? If Madden was released tomorrow, he would be on the Bengals, because that's where he's under contract. If he gets traded or retired, they'll move him on a roster update

Same to what they're going to do with any other guy on the trade block??? Donovan McNabb, Albert Haynesworth, Vince Young, Kevin Kolb, etc. They are under contract and will be on their current team's roster unless they get waived/traded(/retire).

My guessing is that all players that had expired contracts with their team at the end of this season. Will remain with their team on Madden 12 with a one year contract I'm assuming. That goes along with Palmer contract deal. He is still under contract with the Bengals. So he will be still with them on Madden 12. Nothing will change until the first roster update and until there is a new CBA.

Your not the only one, I want to see this too.

Regarding Palmer, maybe with the new roles he'll get some role that makes him a distraction or something since he wants to be traded to reflect that but it would be nice for the AI to actually trade him without me having to control all 32 teams.
