We can we expect true to life football gaming(no bashing)
Presentation wise, at least pre game presentation for NCAA is as about as real as it gets besides seeing announcers and what not but as we know GAMEPLAY IS MORE IMPORTANT?

Re: We can we expect true to life football gaming(no bashing)
Its getting better every year and I really don't see them trying to completely redesign the game onto next gen like they did last time. That decision really hurt them and I'm sure they realize it. -

Gameplay wise it looks the same year in and out and plays the same. I think it would be wise of them to implement a physics based engine but not as ragdolly as backbreaker.Comment

And I'm sure they will, but that is more of an improvement on what they already have than a complete retooling of the game. Also, the game now is significantly better than it was before ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2u4pNruEmU ).Comment

Gameplay is very different year to year. Go play NCAA 07, then 08, then 09, then 10, then 11. You will notice a difference between each one right away. 07 and 11 were the best two while 10 was easily the worst.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: We can we expect true to life football gaming(no bashing)
I think most people have distorted memories of games from the past. In most cases, both gameplay and graphical stuff sees a pretty significant bump from year to year.
It's like when you think about back in the day with Tecmo Bowl, or Bill Walsh '95 or something. You remember those games as being fun as hell, but when you go back and play them today...Garbage.|| Luck Favors The Prepared

Exactly. Tecmo Bowl got me into video games as a youngster but I doubt it would be playable for me nowI think most people have distorted memories of games from the past. In most cases, both gameplay and graphical stuff sees a pretty significant bump from year to year.

I had bought that 20th anniv. Madden set when it had come out, the one that came with the playable Madden '93...I was excited to play '93, since it was one of the first sports games I started playing.
I think I logged about 2 1/2 minutes on that thing.|| Luck Favors The Prepared

Re: We can we expect true to life football gaming(no bashing)
I've never really liked the gameplay on NCAA. The overpredictive defense always got to me. NCAA 11 made huge strides in passing. I remember in earlier years where passing was a pain in the ***. Defenders would be right on your receivers and if you got open, you were either done right there, or with the right moves you were gone. It is far from perfect, but NCAA 11 I think is one of the better gameplaying experiences I had so I'm hoping 12 continues to improve. You can't be perfect. I like to design sims, mainly for driving and racing and I do math modeling. Simply put: you can't perfectly sim real life because real life isn't simple.Comment

Re: We can we expect true to life football gaming(no bashing)
This is one of those "be careful what you wish for" kind of areas. The truth of the matter is a very small percentage of people in the world have the physical and mental abilities and reflexes to play the game well at even the college level let alone the pro level. If the virtual game started to approach reality too much, it would more than likely become overly frustrating for the vast majority of players who wouldn't be able to make the reads fast enough.
There's going to always need to be a balance between realistic gameplay and a fun gameplay experience.Comment
