I can agree with that, or at least make it clearer what the criteria is for a player to appear... or even a chance to review the players who have followed through with a 'commitment to the NFL' from a draft class instead of it being blindly exported. Make it just like browsing rosters, team by team... so you know what to expect going into Madden. Granted they'll be ratings relative to NCAA stars, and not reflect how well they may do at the pro level, but I do think there's room for improvement there.

I can't even describe how excited I am that they're finally adding some of the features from HC09. I do have one suggestion/question though.

From the sound of it, once you begin bidding on a free agent, all the other players start receiving bids as well and it's just a very hectic time in your franchise. It sounds to me like it might be hard for you to bid on one guy and then go through and find all the other guys you wish to bid on. I think that they should add a feature where, before bidding on anyone, you can click a button to add players to a list (sort of a Watch list) so that way, once you figure out all the guys you're interested in, you can go to this Watch List and THEN begin bidding, with all the players that you're interested in all in one place for easier accessibility.

        Yep.

I might actually play Madden franchise this year instead of NCAA all year.

All these upgrades to franchise mode are very over due but very welcome!

Looman for President. With all the upgrades and additions in this mode along with little to no suctioning in game, better tackling and defense that actually plays defense, I can officially say that ON PAPER this game has turned itself around in the best way. I say on paper because we all know what happens when you assume, but barring any crazy thing going wrong this game is going to be great.

Just re-read this blog for the sake of it -- can't wait for this game.

Of all the things (and all are sweet) this has me very interested:
"Most of the roles will have an in-game impact. Shutdown Corner, for instance, impacts the ratings of the player that has it AND the QB on the opposing team"

One of the main things I hated about Madden was the "Been there done that" feeling after a few games. Each game felt basically the same.
This IMO adds so much to each game being a different monster. This along with the player streaks (good and bad) will leave you never really knowing what's in store.

Very pumped if it works as advertised.

Re: Madden NFL 12 Blog - Franchise Mode in Madden 12

damn. i was going to stop buying Madden for the first time in about 8 or 9 years and get some of my life back.

this blog and all these Franchise mode changes have changed my opinion.

i used to take rookies and adjust them before a franchise, change them to punter or something, to give them a 12 rating, then use them to sprinkle around other teams in the first few offseasons to give other teams realistic rookie picks. a crapload of work to get around the crappy draft logic and bad rookie generation. the ability to edit any player is HUGE to me.

get this Josh guy a very big bottle of something and a dirty lady for his efforts.

Does anyone know about the relocation system? I'd love to see that be re-vamped as I like to see other teams move to different cities, and what about the stadiums? Are they more realistic. I forgot about the demo.

                      ya know
they dont have to fix sim stats

all they have to do is have the teams adjust philosophies according to coaches hired and fired

the reason why OLB's dont register sacks is because every team is set to 4-3 with a tempo of 50 across the board
