Example: I'm planning on taking Florida's playbook because it has the most diverse Goal Line set. But if I clear out all the formations & plays and completely rebuild it as a Power Running playbook from the ground up, am I stuck with the "Spread" tag still?

Question re: Custom Playbook Base Names
So when you pick a playbook to use as your base, it comes with an attached "style" type (Northwestern - spread, GT - option, Georgia - pro, etc.). My question is what happens when you change the play style off of the base name?
Example: I'm planning on taking Florida's playbook because it has the most diverse Goal Line set. But if I clear out all the formations & plays and completely rebuild it as a Power Running playbook from the ground up, am I stuck with the "Spread" tag still?GAMEPLAY ABOVE ALL

Re: Question re: Custom Playbook Base Names
NOTE: I well aware that this isn't a world-shattering deal breaker. I'm sure I'll remember what kind of playbook it is since I'm both building it and naming it. And I'm sure the playbuilder feature is gonna rock. But all the same, it'd be nice if it was accurately reflected in the style type.GAMEPLAY ABOVE ALL

Re: Question re: Custom Playbook Base Names
I don't think you can change the "Style" tag. It's one of the few negatives with Custom Playbooks.Comment

Re: Question re: Custom Playbook Base Names
I'm pretty sure you get to name your playbook after you edit it. I might be thinking of the Madden 12 video but it would only make sense. Otherwise how could a user have multiple playbooks saved to your HD? You probably get to name it whatever you want so you could save several playbooks. I just searched the forum for the video I saw it in and nothing came up, so I'm pretty sure it was the Madden custom playbooks video. How else could you distinguish between your other playbooks?Dallas CowboysSan Antonio SpursTexas RangersBaylor Bears Iowa Hawkeyes Texas LonghornsComment

Re: Question re: Custom Playbook Base Names
you can name the playbook what ever you want, but you can't change the style "tag", which is what I assume the OP was asking about. so if you use Texas Tech as the base playbook, it will always be "Air Raid".I'm pretty sure you get to name your playbook after you edit it. Re: Question re: Custom Playbook Base Names
the post as taken is talking about the playbook style. Such pro style or spread type. You cant change that, but can change the playbooks nameComment

Re: Question re: Custom Playbook Base Names
It's also probably pretty safe to assume that your recruiting/depth chart limits are also based on the playbook style. IE. "spread" requires 1 FB, "pro style" requires more, 3-4 requires more MLBs/fewer DTs than a "4-3" type of playbook, etc.Favorite Teams:
