You set the rotation for every team you use....the ranked matches save your rotation....so lets say you use the Fighters pitching Yu Darvish the 1st game online...then you go play 3 (or more games) with other teams....and you come back to use the Fighters...Darvish will not be available until you use the Fighters 3 more times......this is the idea of making the experience more realistic.....and the next pitcher on the set rotation will start 2nd game and so forth....you can set your lineup/rotation and save it for each team....this way you save some time during match setup......you can even call-up/send down players within the teams organization roster...

so do you go through all 5 starters? I guess I'm assuming they use a 5man rotation in Japan.

Actually i believe they use a 6 man rotation but i'm not sure how that works when playing online.

i hear ya. If there were any game of any type with great gameplay, we'd all play it from there at OS. We are still the minority though.

Actually they use a 6 man rotation.....but in the game it's a minimum of 4 ...however, some pitchers have a low recovery rate so they need those extra games or their stamina will be low and health too, which makes them more prone to injury.....but to answer your Q.....you need to use or rotate 4 pitchers minimum.

I've had the game two weeks now and really enjoying it. Just playing exhibition games for now, getting a feel for all the teams and players. Recently I was in an offensive slump, only scored 1 run, 1 run then 2 runs. Hitting the ball well, but just couldn't break through. I was down 6-2 to the Fighters, 2 outs in the 9th, SS goes back into the OF for a blooper, tough play, but still a play they usually make in the game, he reaches back over his head, exclamation point, drops it. Next batter single. Next batter double to the gap. Next batter single, then a HR by a batter with only 2 HRs, it was awesome. Came away with a 7-6 come from behind victory and finally got the offense going. All because of that dropped fly ball.

Post update the opposite field swing has a lot more punch it seems. Nothing like getting a double over a shallow LF.

Cool, haven't had a chance to test out the patch but it looks very good.

Watch for certain hitters who have the "opposite field" special skill, O swing works well with them.

                          This.

Especially the nice power with opposite swing special attribute. Eishin Soyogi is a good example.

Soyogi had some very deserving attribute adjustments.....he is haveing a great year.....even better than last season.....he might even top Sakamoto (giants) and Toritani (Tigers) as fan favorite for a SS in the CL.....He's on my "to get" list for Manager Mode Online this year......it's him or Toritani that I want at SS....and I have Watanabe to be my back up.....If I get Sakamoto....I will move him to 3rd.....Damn this MM is addicting....I LOVE IT!

Yeah the Carp offense was really helped with the update.

3B Chad Tracy is a machine now I bat him 5th

SS Soyogi is an awesome leadoff hitter and an S at defense

RF Hirose is a great contact hitter with an S in defense

1B Kurihara is a true power hitter now. If he hits one out, odds are a second will be going out (special attribute).

Now that I have had some time with the game now and getting better at the game, the game seems to be a little HR happy at times. Most if not all of the runs in some games now come via the HR.
