Funny how they say the big difference is in motion but they only released screenshots.

Randy Orton launched himself from the apron to land a splash.

Movesets must still be wrong because Orton isn't going to launch himself for a splash from the apron.

There are no strong and weak grapples -- the moves you're pulling off are dependent on how worn down the opponent is.

On the brightside that means you can't start with a chokeslam anymore but does that also mean you can't do a basic body slam or hip toss later in the match? Is there anything representing medium grapples?

As of now, WWE '12 features a big meter with a name on it at the bottom of the screen showing how close you are to building a Signature or Finisher (you can store two Finishers). I found it jarring as the game looks better than ever and is trying so hard to mimic broadcasts.

I'm guessing that can be turned off but will there be some alternate indication of finishers being stored?

It sounds like DoR for the 360 really.

Call me skeptical but the more things change the more they stay the same.....

I'll get excited when I get my hands on a demo....or an in-depth explanation by the developing team (with video) that covers the changes made to the gameplay and what modes or extra stuff has been added....


BTW, is it me or was one of the pics showing Miz "flying" through the air after getting hit by Super Cena? .......looks "arcady" to me

I don't see anything implying it'd be different from the created storylines we can already do.

They fooled me last year, they won't get me again this year. I'm gonna wait for reviews and OS impressions for a couple weeks atleast before I even consider getting this game. SvR 11 was a low point for the series IMO, and the series is "damned" until they prove otherwise.

A name change didn't help NBA Live.

They say it is more than a name change, but I've heard that before too. Cory and guys from THQ lied a lot leading up to SvR 2011 about the game, so the burden is on them to bring back some trust. A more varied move-set for the wrestlers (along with getting the right moves for the right guys), fix the non existent AI and easy pins, make the game more than a roster update, and actually bring in "strategy" (since they mention it so often...) would be a good START on a game that they admit they've been working on since May 2010.

I'll also reserve judgement until we see the <a href="http://tribalwrestling.com/wwe-12/">WWE 12</a>trailer, which is probably coming out next week. I just hope WWE 12 game is not a change of title without any real new idea in gameplay, presentation and game modes.

I'm also going put this on the "wait to buy after reading the user reviews" list. I find it interesting that one of the game features, is creating and sharing wrestlers. Um...we can already do that. Show us something we DON'T have in this game...show us how the A.I. has been improved. I'm with the others I've read in saying that since THQ changed the name, I'm hoping the changed other things as well. Changing the name of game doesn't make the game better. C'mon THQ, give us that "carrot".

I don't know how you can read the IGN article and NOT think they've changed more than the name. We obviously don't know how it'll play, but the big push is how much they've changed with utilizing their Predator Tech.
