But it's unrealistic to expect to start as an UDFA or low round draft pick with an OVR in the 60's.

The name of the mode does lead to your kind of thinking; Superstar mode. I feel the game mode should accurately model a career path of a player in the NFL. It should have multiple options depending on how you want to play the game.

If you want to come in as a day one starter, hit the ground running, I made the Pro Bowl as a rookie type of player, fine.

Me, I'd rather work for the job. Put in the hours, learn from the veterans who are ahead of me on the depth chart. Maybe spend a year on the practice squad and then get worked in slowly.

The game should have more options just to give us that extra level of detail. So you can make the choice of picking the easy high OVR, sure thing for the HOF player; Or the type who will live forever in the memory of true fans, but never reach a Pro Bowl and might just hope to see his jersey hanging from the rafters.
