I'd love to know what people think as well. I have a PS3 and a 360, but I'm not sure which to get. From what I've heard though, the 360 is definitely the smoother running of the two though.

I hear the PS3 has a glitch where long replays get cut off, so take that into consideration.

My copy on Xbox runs fine but my brother's (with an older model 360) runs kinda skippy. It'll sometimes lag for a split-second right when you snap the ball - which blows. I assume it has something to do with the older hardware.

The replay thing was annoying on PS3, but was at least partially fixxed with a patch to be not quite so bad, still there occasionally though. I had some framerate drops and frame skipping with it on a very new 360 and so I gave that copy to a buddy and bought the PS3 version. I do not regret that decision. Tighter, better feeling controls, particularly the right stick controls, slightly sharper graphics, but it didn't really make or break the game for either console. I think the question really is which controller style you prefer, 360 vs PS3. All in all, it was the same game on both consoles for me, with different, and very minor hiccups. PS3 bluetooth response time wins out in my house, but my wireless 360 controllers act stupid most of the time, to the point that I had to buy wired controllers to eliminate the ghost playbook scrolling and random jukes and spins in open field. Maybe because I live less than a mile from a major airport, can't confirm it though. Maybe different or no difference at all for someone else.

You know, I think alot of the graphical differences are probably caused by the formats (1080p etc). PS3's selection is different from the 360. My PS3 using a HDMI cable looks way better than anything I've been able to get out of my 360 using every possible cable. Might just be the format support on my TV. I never used the original cable that came with my PS3 because I already had a HDMI cable laying around. So, HD format and cable type (HDMI should look better than standard HD cables) should probably be considered in your decision, if graphics are a big part of it for you.

I actually made myself curious about this and went looking around for stuff about it. Basically the PS3 is actually designed around 1080p whereas 360 is just scaled up. So PS3 can, in the end, give you a sharper picture. But, both systems perform better or worse on different shaders and stuff, making either console smooth or studdering in different areas. Also most games, like EA MMA sitting here next to me, only go up to 720p and would then be scaled to 1080p by the console, making 360 and PS3 look exactly the same, and neither could really say "better graphics".

I own both consoles and thoroughly enjoyed my 360 until it rrod'd on me for the 5th time. The 360 rrod is the only reason I bought a PS3. Now I'm happy playing either but prefer PS3 for reasons stated before. It's all just splitting hairs though. Until we see if this years game has any huge problems on 1 console or the other, I wouldn't be able to recommend 1 over the other. If you've had better luck with your 360, and prefer the controller go that route, same thing for PS3.

Having played both last year, I'm leaning towards PS3. Like was said, the PS3 is 1080p because of the blu-ray. You aren't going to be able to see much difference but it's there. Both games played the same to me. They are the same game, after all, with maybe a few minor differences here and there. It's not like they made NCAA 11a and NCAA 11b and released them for each system.

I agree with you boomer the right stick animations happen at the exact moment on the ps3 and the cuts are way smokers and more efficient whether you want a short speed cut or long cut. I have both and I have to say the ps3 is smoother to me.

I switched back to the 360 after going with the PS3 version for 08, 09 & 10. Honestly, I couldn't be happier. As others have said, I like the 360 controller better and the game does appear a bit smoother. Although, there isn't much difference, IMO. To me you can't go wrong with either version. It's mainly just a matter of personal preference.

I'm thinking about going PS3 due to no batteries needed for the controller and ease of file transfers (pics).

Can I just put the pics on a USB card and put them on my computer?

That was the one pain about the 360.

I don't think I'm doing online dynasty this year...
