    I agree.
He's a kid...getting a lot of spotlight......it's certainly a factor in some of his actions which IMO are a little bush. If as Jason is saying...the similar things were done in his direction....that too is bush IMO.
I'm a firm believer in acting like a professional when you are practicing your profession. Beer leagues?...pull your pants down if you like, but when you are representing the people that pay you....act like a gentleman....REGARDLESS of what is tossed your way.
    He's young...he'll learn.

That being said....I don't think that his actions will effect his abilities one iota. He is a beast...will be a bigger beast quite soon. I think my initial ratings show that to be true!
If he loses the support of his teammates and/or fans...that may change. Hopefully he gets a coach who talks some sense into him when he is young and convinces him that letting your play do your talking for you is the best thing.

    Just my take.

I agree. I don't think he's this bad, but think of Milton Bradley. That guy had amazing potential, not Harper's potential of course, but he still could've been very very good, and he's thrown it away by having a big head and thinking he's superior to his teammates, now he's unemployed. I know it's NFL, but the same thing happened with Ryan Leaf, he had great talent but had a terrible attitude and was ran out of the league. Know a lot of people will say Leaf was really bad, but he started out at the highest level possible. Harper still has to prove himself in the show. I think he's too talented to struggle, but Brandon Wood average in the minors is in the high .300s and in the pro's he can't break .200. Just some things to think about, but I think National fans can surely say they are excited about 2013 or 2014 when their prospects are in their prime. They have some potential.

I haven't played this game in a while and I'm just getting started with my franchise. Has anyone created and uploaded a base franchise file?

Sorry guys, this is my first time downloading the rosters. I checked the first page of this thread and the last few... do these rosters get updated and uploaded throughout the season or do you just have to download the Opening Day Set and make your own changes?

And if so, where can I find the most recent uploaded set? Knight's Opening Day rosters were excellent and I just want to make sure I have the most current set. Thanks!

If you looked beyond Wood's plus power and his power numbers, there was really no reason to think that he was going to be anything special. I know what you're saying here, but Wood was really the polar opposite of Harper as a prospect.

HustlinOwl created a franchise file of the latest OSFM. If you're looking for an updated opening day roster, jkra0512 made a franchise file out of my update to the OSFMv2 roster. If you're interested, you can read about it here:
              http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2042435856

Here is a direct link to the file:
              http://www.sendspace.com/file/yubtb3

Note from jkra about this file: The Angels and Brewers each need to send someone to the minors. Both of their opening day rosters didn't have a fifth starters listed and they needed someone there.

Here is Srudoff's spreadsheet that shows you who is on the DL and how long they are on it for:
              https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?...0E&hl=en#gid=1

If you use it, Jay Bruce needs an increase in his contact vs. LHP to the mid 80s, his power vs RHP needs to be around 70 and his power vs. LHP needs to at least be in the high 70s to low 80s. Also, Sam Fuld needs a decrease in his hitting attributes.

Yeah, I know. Harper is probably the biggest prospect to ever play the game. Youngest, tons of talent, so we can't really judge what he'll do on past players. I think it's safe to say we'll be seeing him in Washington in the near future if he keeps his game up.

Re: MLB 11 The Show Rosters - Operation Sports Full Minors (Opening Day Set)

I love how people try to states how someone else should act in a situation (regarding the article and other media reports saying he is a horrible person who needs to grow up, etc).

Those who say "Act like you've been there before" are usually the ones that have never been there. People think Brian Wilson's little gimmick at the end of games is cool because supposedly it's for his deceased relative, but in reality it's showmanship. People in this society are so good at "understanding" when the offender shares something with them, such as race/political affiliation/ socioeconomic level etc. but rarely extend that "understanding" when these traits are not shared. But it's my bad for even addressing the issue as I don't post often but threads/comments like this just call to me.

On the subject of rosters, will there be any official updates to this set (i.e. after trade deadline etc.) I always try to adjust the things myself but nothing I create is better than the real thing.l I end up over-rating too many players (btw is Heyward really that powerful?)

Which sets do NOT contain pitch edits? I would prefer to start up a Rockies and Mets franchise with the full minors, but without the pitch edits.

                      Thanks!

Guys....again, I'm sorry that I'm not able to do updates. I'm just too busy at both work and around my house. I just don't have the time I used to at the moment.
                        I wish I could.
I'm going to do my best to start updating the set(with only edits to the MiLB players) for an End of Season set.
                        Again, I apologize.

                          No worries, Knight.

I took a look at V2 and that appeared to have just updated equipment and stances; no pitch changes.

                              Community effort though!

                              Anyway...yes you can save.

                              You have to do this.
Start the game...immediately go and save the default roster(don't load anything)....name it whatever.
Now LOAD the OSFM roster and go back and save it OVERWRITING the default roster save you just made.(again...name it whatever).
Use that to start your franchise.
                              That should do it.

If you're looking for a franchise file, that is the only one that anyone has created and uploaded, as far as I know. If you're just looking for an updated roster, I just uploaded version 5.2. It's up under "J19v5.2 (OSFMv2 OD base)". It was uploaded June 11.
