Minus the Robinson era, Cuse's history is pretty rich compared to schools they have ranked ahead of us. I see you went to SU as well and you're probably one of the people who never went to a game or knew we had a program until we won a bowl game in December. Laugh it up if you want to.

From my response to your post, you got that I went to SU and never went to a game and was oblivious to the fact that we had a football program until the bowl game in december? I dont know you in any capacity but you sound like a go-hard fan that predicts SU to win the conference every preseason. Forgive me for finding humor in the idea that Syracuse Football is a 4 star program after having one decent season since 2001. Dont forget that it took 3 FCS programs to inflate us to an 8 win season. Syracuse Football died with Mcnabb's departure and the failure to sign Michael Vick to join the squad. Syracuse University Football is in no way shape or form a 4 star program. I'm surprised EA has given them 3 stars for all these years. Dont get too pumped with the school's recent success dude. Douge Marrone has a WAY to go.

And will freaking EA give Bo and the Blackshirts credit and rate them a damn A some year please? A likely All-American at each level with other returning talent and a damn B+ again. Penn St and Miami's D better than Nebraska's?

They would've gotten more love if they didn't lose to a 6-6 Washington team to end the season.

Schum I agree that the system is flawed. But it is their system and going off of it some of the rating changes make sense (Notre Dame) and some don't.

I should have figured Notre Dame's as I am curious maybe tomorrow. I did figure all of the 6 stars to see what their scores would be.

Alabama - 245 points

LSU - 323 points

Auburn - 214 points

Oregon - 205 points

USC - 467 points (taking away NC's and 1 heisman, add 58 points if you choose not to take them away)

Oklahoma - 489 points

Ohio St - 528 points

Penn St 159 points (Wow how are they a 6*??????) By far the lowest so far and only 53 points better than K-State. Joe Pa can sure get some love.

I didn't get to Florida or Texas yet but sure they will fit in. Interesting that the only one that doesn't belong in that group just going off those points is Penn St. Oregon is next lowest but close to both Auburn and Alabama

I will probably start a new thread and continue looking at all of the BCS schools. Interested who is better than Oregon? Kind of changed my perception of them a little more. I know they have been good but didn't expect they would be that close to some of the big boys.

What EA needs to do is create a "tradition" rating which would be seperate from the prestige star rating therefore teams that have great tradition such as the "michigans, notre dames,miami's" that have struggled in the past years would not be rated as high in current prestige however there tradition rating would remain among the best....IMO of course...

Despite what anybody says, Notre Dame deserves a 6* prestige rating based on that definition of Prestige.

No other program in the country can say all these things about their program-
1: ND has the largest fan base in the nation, 2: ND continues to roll in top recruiting classes, 3: ND has the most national tittles & hisemen winners, 4: ND has thier own TV network, 5: ND have tons and tons and tons of tradition, 6: ND has never violated major ncaa rules, 7: ND has never played an FCS (aka D-1AA) team, 8: ND graduates over 95% of their players.

ND is in fact a very prestigious school.

EA calls it a prestige rating but it REALLY isn't about prestige, it is about wins and losses in the game!!!! If it WAS really about prestige Notre Dame would never ever lose a star in the game.

Personally I do feel TCU and Boise do deserve their 5*'s, they almost singlehandedly put Mid Major programs on the map. That and they have been consistent, finishing towards the top of the NCAA the past several seasons even beating top AQ teams to get there. I could understand if they were one and dones but they managed to be consistent.

I do feel NIU deserves a 3*, they have been pretty stable under Coach Kill and they had a great season last year, just feels like EA wants to keep the MAC towards the bottom of the NCAA.

I do agree with needing a tradition rating, that way they can rank old school programs lower without annoying people.

ND being a 5* would mean they are still nationally relevant, but until they do something with their influx of talent they really aren't relevant. Same with Michigan which has been struggling. (No Texas shouldn't be dropped. Longhorn support hasn't dipped at all from one bad season).

Duke should be the lowest imo, they haven't even had a winning season since before 2002. They are pretty much the meaning of irrelevant. At least there is a slight bit of hope every year that Wazzou will do something.

Besides, I doubt the Devs sit around and say "Notre Dame is not a 6* Program, put them in there with Michigan."

I'm guessing they just put the schools information into the game and let the game itself tell them who is a 5 or 6 star program. Because Stars have to be given and taken away in game also.
