PA Pass?

I really hope the PA pass can do somethin this year. Last year it just seemed to be an autoomatic sack if you crazy enough to call it.

Go to about the 2:30 mark, and you can see a PA pass in action. Only problem is that it was a 3-3-5 Defensive formation, Zone coverage with a corner blitz(Cover 2 sink), so it's not the greatest example to tell wheter or not PA's get blown up so easily.

I do play action all the time. The key is, you must have a good o-line and also have it 100% "setup."

It doesn't work on Heisman. I've had good O-lines and 100% setup before and I still get hit as after the fake or right when I'm ready to throw.

It doesn't work in NCAA 11. Nobody can say differently. It might work one or two plays out of a single formation but the vast majority of PA plays in 11 are broken

+ 1million. Awesome o-line, 100% setup, ran the previous 12 plays - nothing matters. It's broken.

Well I guess I am just lucky. Heck I just scored off a PA pass last week and have the visual proof of it:

This is on Heisman Level with CPU Rush DEF and Pass DEF each turned up to 75.

This was out of I-Form Normal, 100% set up and on a first down play following a turnover.

I am in the same boat as wipeout, jaredlib, and nighttrain, it's 100% broken in both NCAA and Madden 11. I really am hoping it's fixed, PA used to be my money maker on the previous console generation.

If you can run consistently run PA passes, then consider yourself lucky. Part of the issue is the whole "set up" play thing. I shouldn't have to run the exact same HB dive 9 times to set up the one Play action pass play that matches it. It should be global, you run the ball more, PA's become more effective. Why isn't that simple?

PA works perfect on AA I've had some huge gains with it you just have to call it at the right time

I probably call I-Form Normal PA once every couple of games and only at 100% setup (which I have to admit is a dumb concept).

But anyway, I usually get pretty good gains off of it. I usually read the tight end first with my progressions and then check it down to the FB if the TE is covered. I'd say if I ran it 10 times in the past season-plus, I've gotten a completion off of it 8 times and this is on Heisman with CPU sliders jacked up.

In our online dynasty it took me probably 5 seasons to figure out the hard way that Play Action was useless lol.

I have seen PA ran in a user game once in the last....ugh....probably 18 games. Not counting PA wr sweep which hits quick. That one time, it was a sack for a safety (I was on defense, luckily).

Like, I get it, it might work once in a while, but nowhere near as often or realistically as it does in real life.

What playbook are you guys using? I honestly haven't run across a PA play out of I-form or ace that can be ran consistently.
