The Decision

Reporter 1:Today is the biggest annoucement ever for these starterts. This is bigger than the decision for Lebron James. I mean really who cares for lebron, because the story here is the "CALI5".

Reporter 2: So guys what will be your decision?

Kevin: First we will all put a hat on the table from our choosing and together we will make a decision.

Kevin Rose: First up Ohio St.
Ray Jordan: Second Michigan
Danny Pippen: Third Miami
Derrick West: Fourth UCLA
Gary Russell: And finally USC

Danny: throws Miami and said to many loses.
Gary: USC has Romeo Miller.

Reporter 1: Final One will they make history again at Michigan, go to their hometown, or go to the powerhouse Ohio St.

Gary: Well we pick(Kevin comes in)
Kevin: Ohio St.
The other four: looks at him then yells KEVIN!!!!

crowd: (going crazy) CALI5=4 NCAA titles

Reporter 1:nice guys we can't wait to see what you bring to this powerhouse.

Gary: But we(Kevin covers his mouth).
Kevin: Thanks, it was alot of thinking.
Danny: KEVINNNN!!!!!!!
Ray: Great you did it again Kev.
Derrick: Yeah way to go ummmm, wait I will think of something.

Reporter 3: We will now take a look: at your ranks.

Kevin: Wow! 20 minuets and thats the best you come up with. Well at least you play smarter.

Derrick: Thank you Kevin, god he is so nice huh guys.

Gary: Derrick that wasn't nice and Kevin your going to far.

Derrrick:....... ooooo you were talking to me that explains alot.

Kevin: what an idiot.

Gary: Kevin STFU!!!!

Everyone is just looking at us, they could'nt believe what they just heard. A journalist just came over and started to take pictures. I could see the headlines now. "CALI5 HAVING PROBLEMS ALREADY"

The Last Day of School

Three weeks later it was the last day of school. Everyone kind of blew by that crazt day, when we made our decision. Kevin as usually was with girls, as for the rest of us we were talking to our teamates.

Fred: Im coming with you guys, I just can't stand not being your sixth man.

Gary: Jared Sullinger will be mad lol.

Lance: Im coming to be the best swngman shooting from everywhere, so back up Ray.

Ray: lol ok if you say so.

Marcus,Michael,Mason: Don't forget the triplets, best role players ever.

Danny: Im guessing the whole team signed with Ohio St.

Fred: Yeah we were next after you guys.

Marcus,Michael,Mason: The new big three.

Gary: lol no, the new Ohio St. basketball team. The CALI5 and The RP5.

Derrick: Don't forget Jared Sullinger

Gary: He may be apart of the RolePlayers5 or the new sixth man.

Fred: lol not with me their, I will have him going to the draft to get drafted by the cavs.

Gary: This is if he can be the knew hometown.

Kevin: Good afternoon b**ches.

Gary: Bye Kevin.

Kevin: Calm down Gary the snail, you will thank me later when we win the 4 titles, and I get drafted number 1 overall by the Sacramento Kings.

Fred: why do you do this everytime its already enough we can't go to UCLA together because of you.

Kevin: Fred shut up, anyways you suck you are never going to be sixth man over Jared and damn show was'nt going to start over me.

Ray: Kevin.

Kevin: What its true.

Fred: Im gone.

Gary: Fred Wait.

Kevin: thank god.

Gary: I had enough of you, you've been causing problems since we were little. Fred may stay home and commit to UCLA because of you.

Lance: Im going to check up on him.

Kevin: Yeah you do that.

Marcus,Michael,Mason: what a D**k.

Kevin: shut up freaks.

Marcus,Michael,Mason: See you later Gary,Danny,Ray, and Derrick.We hate you Kevin.

Derrick: I need glasses i think im seeing triple vision.

Kevin: And we are supposed to be going somewhere with those guys. Especially with a guy like Derrick because he is a dumb***.

Gary: How about we leave you at Ohio St. by yourself then?

Kevin: You guys need me, im the best on this team.

Danny&Ray: Gary is the best on this team.

Kevin: Well excuse the F**k out of me. I guess I have to find some new teamates then.

Wait was I thinking, Kevin was'nt the best on the team, but we damn sure needed him. But this is best for the team right?

When does the actual dynasty and games start up? The dialogue is a little confusing to follow. I'm not dissin' your dynasty or anything. I like the idea. I just would like to see some actual information on the dynasty instead of so much dialogue.

Happy Birthday Kevin

Kevin and I have not to talk since school ended. Today was his birthday and I never heard from him. I figured he was getting ready to watch the Heat and the Mavs. I started to walk towards his house, to tell him I didn't mean what I said at school.

Gary: rings door bell.

Kevin: Who is it?

Gary: its Gary

Kevin: Hey Gary came to take me back.

Gary: I wanted to say I should have never said what I said at school and that I can't do it with out you.

Kevin: Calm down you big baby and join the rest of the team.

Gary: Hey everybody so who's winning!

Lance: J.J Barea just made a sick driving layup to take a 5-4 lead.

Kevin: Ahhhh! Who cares, The heat are going to take game 6 and 7. Then, Lebron will get the finals trophy and will be named nba finals M-V-P.

Gary: Just wait and see, Lebron will choke and start passing the ball.

Kevin: How about we play a game then/

Gary: cool with me.

Marcus,Michael,Mason: Gary and Kevin pick up.

Gary: I got Fred

Kevin: Danny

Gary: The triplets

Gary: You get the last three

Kevin: ray and lance I can take, but why do I always get stuck with Derrick.

Everybody: laughs

Gary: come lets start, game goes to 21

Tip-off: Gary wins the tip, Fred brings the ball up and dishes off to Marcus who is open in the corner. He pumps fake and passes to Michael, who gives an alley-opp to Gary. The score is 2-0, as Kevin brings the ball up. He passes the ball the Ray at the side who makes the three. Kevin takes the ball away twice, to hit two threes to make the score 9-2.

This is when Fred goes crazy and takes over the game. He stole the ball twice, grabbed five Rebounds, and scored 11 of their 15 point to take a 17-9 lead. This is when Kevin took over the game. He grabbed every rebound, steal, assits, and three more points to take a 20 to 17 lead. I called out win by two and ckecked the ball. Passed the ball to Fred who took a three and it rimmed off. But Mason some how grabbed the rebound and made a three. Kevin checked the ball, then brought the ball up. He leaned in to take the two, but was blocked by Fred who grabed the ball. He then drove the ball to the goal and layed the ball up. We won the game 22-20, Fred won POTG with 13 points, 5 Rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assits, and the game winning basket. Kevin had six in every catergorie.

Gary: Where are you going Kevin?

Kevin: To see if the Heat won to make me happy.

The Mavs have won their first ever NBA Championship. They beat the Heat 105-95.

Kevin: F**k my life twice in one day.

Gary: Lol at least you had a good birthday.

Kevin:Now I have to eat my Heat cake in fustration.

Gary:lol Happy Birthday Kevin.

The Arrival

When we first arrived to the campus, we were greeted and showed around campus. After, we went to the head coach Thad Matta of the Buckeyes. He gave us our scheduels and said be ready for the first game.

North Carolina A&T Vs #1 Ohio.St
"Game on"

The first game for the New Fab 5. Coach Thad Matta decides to let all the freshman start. This means Jared is the sixth man. They win the tip and go on a 20-6 run. They open the game with 4 3 pointners. They end the first half 45-27.

But going into the second half, the story was Fred Craft who came off the bench. Who scored more than half of the teams points in the half, as they win 104-66. Fred was POTG with a double double.

Erin: So Fred you came off the bench and provided a big spark for the team, so how was it possible!

Fred: Well I thought if I can't be sixth man then I will have to go and prove myself to the coach. Just to let everyone know, I will do my best every game.

Erin: Coach are you going to keep the five freshman as starters and will Fred ever be the sixth man.

Coach Thad: Well it all depends on if they can continue to do good and as far as sixth man go. I may put Fred as the new sixth man if he does continue to do a great job.

Erin: Now to the New Fab 5, are you guys going to do better than the original.

Gary: Well we are at a powerhouse school, so we depend on winning every year. Just to let everyone know this is just the begining and we will make sure we will shock the world.

I enjoy the concept and am looking forward to seeing what these 5 players can do.

A few critiques though about the story. The reason it is hard to follow is because the characters are forgettable. I have a hard time remembering who Gary is and what his personality is like. The same goes for Kevin. It seems like they have similar personalities which makes it really tough to follow especially with so much dialogue involved in your updates. I think more description about their mannerisms and their appearances might make them more memorable as well as more events in their life that makes them stick out. For example, Derrick could have lost his father at a young age which causes him to lash out at unexpected times because he is an emotional train wreck. When it comes down to the stretch in basketball games he often falls apart because of his fragile emotional state, it is hard for him to remain composed. Show more flaws with the characters as well as their strengths otherwise they are forgettable.

I agree with GameOver. Seems like we're reading a bunch of random dialogue with no real background or feel for who these guys are. There's nothing wrong with telling a story in your dynasty, but you have to relay it to the reader in a way that we can understand and follow. You have to paint the story that's in your head on the canvas for everyone else to see and read through their own eyes in the same way that you do with yours. I'm not criticizing you by any means. Just trying to offer some advice to make this easier to follow.

Thanks, I will describe everyone below are their player Bio.

7'0 210 C Gary Russell Sacramento,Ca. 04/03/92

This guy is the leader of the New FAB 5.
He is the best guy on and off the court
and makes the grades in school. He could
dunk his sixth grade year at 6'0.Growing up,
he had to deal with his father Gary Russell Sr.
leaving. He stayed home with his mother
Patrica Russell. He helped his mom around the
house and got a job in high school to pay bills.

6'0 195 PG Kevin Rose Sacramento,Ca. 06/11/93

This is the most arrogant guy on the team.
He thinks he is the best player on the team.
He started playing basketball at five years old.
His dad Richard Rose, helped him improve his
game overall. He has gotten suspended, at least
five times each school year. His mom Tracy Rose
got into a fight with Richard, which resulted in a
divorce. Kevin decided to move in with his dad, to
pursue his basketball dream. Can he ever be better
then his cousin Jalen Rose?

6'8 225 SF Danny Pippen Sacramento,Ca. 08/23/93
6'6 195 SG Ray Jordan Sacramento,Ca.....10/05/93

They are the closest on The New FAB 5. One
day when Ray was getting jumped, Danny came
and helped him, while the others was at home.
These guys are best friends and always stay
together. Ray's dad Ricky Jordan left his mom
Joelyn West, while Danny's mom Karen Walker,
left Jerry Pippen, because he could'nt keep a job.
Now, Ray's mom Joelyn West and Danny's dad
Jerry Pippen are going out. They are also rumored
to be getting married on her Birthday Feb. 13, 2012.

6'10 195 PF Derrick West Sacramento,Ca. 12/25/92

This guy is smart, but ever since his parents died in
a car accident when he was two, he tends to say
stupid things. He was bounced around from foster
home to foster home. His Grandmother Martha
Cartwright got him and took careof him. Then two
years later when he was 10, she passed away with
kidney failure. He was then sent back to the foster,
but escaped on his 12th birthday. He stayed in the
basketball gym and played basketball. He raised himself
eversince and He wears number 28 for the day his parents
and grandmother passed away.

5'8 180 PG Fred Craft Sacramento, Ca. 02/14/92

A sweet and shy white boy originaly from New Jersey
who's parents, Fred Craft Sr.and Claire Craft are haiply
married. His dad went to Rutgers and majored in Clinical
Laboratory Science.His mom also attended Rutgers and
she majored in Medicine. Fred is the smartest kid on the
team. He makes straight A's and recieved over 50 scholarships,
including Rutgers. He decided to accept a scholarship
at the university of Ohio State. Will he move back to
his original hometown and attend Rutgers University.

6'2 190 Guards Marcus, Michael, Mason Manning Sacramento Ca. 05/17/92

Not one, not two, but three that can play basketball.
Get this not only are they brothers, but they are triplets.
Triplets that can play basketball what more can you ask
for. The parents Steven and Bridget Manning are proud
of their boys. They stay together and get along great.
They're white boys that can dunk, bet you wish they
were on your team now huh. I just feel sorry for the
team that goes against when they are on the court
together. One day they will be starters, I guess you
can say they are the future big three.

6'4 210 Guard/Forward Lance Thomas Sacramento, Ca 05/05/92

A white boy mixed with Hispanic pretty boy
who was born on May 5, 1992.At least you
know why he picked jersey number five.He is
like another D-wade, just the white version. He
is known for his inside game in basketball. His
parents are Victor Thomas and Rosie Rodriguez-Thomas.
When he is not playing basketball, he is at the beach
talking to girls and surfing. Just wait until this kid
makes it to the NBA, he will be a force to recon with.
