World Cup in FIFA 12?
Ok I'm guessing the reason World Tournaments (World Cup/Euro/Gold/etc) are not in is because of money. I'm sure they sell a good bit when they come out with the seperate games (World Cup and Euro). I am pretty new to the FIFA series (2010 World Cup and FIFA 11 the only two I have owned) but I have really enjoyed them. I was just wondering how much fans have pushed for the World Cup and other tournaments to be put in season mode? Especially Be a Player.

Re: World Cup in FIFA 12?
I don't believe it's even worth the try, though I thought there was a world cup analogue in BAP.
To be honest, though, FIFA's career modes need hell of a lot more of an overhaul than just adding a World Cup mode. -
Re: World Cup in FIFA 12?
Yeh you're right. I just think it would be cool for both modes really, you would have to work your way up on your national team and in manager mode when you are prestigous enough you can become manager of your national team as well. But like you said won't happen.Comment

Although I agree with the thought, they won't do it because they want to sell a separate World Cup game on those years.Arsenal FC
New England Patriots
Boston Red Sox
Boston CelticsComment

I don't post often in this particular part of OS. But the OP made me think of something I had been wondering.
Could they or would they do something like NCAA Football. Where we could import our players into a FIFA World Cup game from the regular FIFA game, like they way you can import draft class's in Madden.
Sorry if it has been asked or sounds stupid but I was just curious. In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

World Cup games only come out every 4 years, and a regular FIFA comes out every year, you can play a lot more than 4 years in career mode- thus requiring multiple transitions, the NCAA>NFL transition is a permanent one- whereas players go from the World Cup back to clubs, and the games would need a way of knowing if your player is selected to the squad, as well as who else is selected to the squad.Comment

Not to mention the only way to get a full real compliment of teams is to download them from the creation centre without real kits again I gets rather dull.Reading
Bengals
TCU

Granted, the teams aren't up to date, but I still have a hell of a lot of fun with South Africa 2010. That was a great soccer game. Too bad EA didn't offer updates to the international team rosters that you could download through that game.New Jersey Devils- 1995, 2000, 2003
New York Giants- 1927, 1934, 1938, 1956, 1986, 1990, 2007.

I've enjoyed 2010 FIFA WC more this summer than last summer. I like the gameplay better than FIFA 11.

Re: World Cup in FIFA 12?
Yeh I kind of got bored of FIFA 11 and bought PES 2011, I really like it. I have all the teams downloaded now too so the only thing missing are the stadiums but on PES in their my player you can play in the WC and the continental cups? Where you at FIFA? lol
But seriously FIFA WC 2010 was SO much fun, I wish for 2014 we could play a career mode instead of just 1 tournament. It would be awesome to be able to play in the Continental Cups and the Confederations Cup as well. Isn't the Copa America like a HUGE deal, that would be fun to play in.
EDIT: One more thing that EA did well in FIFA WC was the atmosphere. That was what set the game apart from any sports game I've played before. The WC is probably the biggest stage in sports and EA did a fantastic job capturing that.Last edited by sparkdawg777; 06-27-2011, 11:10 AM.Comment
