Defensive assignments need to be completely reworked.

D-lineman are still programmed to head towards the o-lineman assigned to block them. 3:30 of the 1st vid, offense runs off tackle left but the d-line goes the opposite way to line up perfectly with the offensive blocking assignments. Instead, they should be reading or playing a gap.

Same play, no defender attempts to contain the play. I'm seeing this on every outside run... if the OLB or DE doesn't win his match-up, the RB easily turns the corner and is one on one with a DB. The lack of engaged player mobility contributes to this problem as well.

Special teams needs a lot of work as too. They still haven't animated double team blocks on the gunners for punts. The CBs running back to form a wedge looks ridiculous.

I don't know if this makes a difference but I'm pretty sure the E3 build was an old build of the game. Maybe some of the concerns have been addressed and tweaked.

I'm so sick of hearing the Star Wars theme in all these vids. It's so LOUD!

Game looks pretty good, though. Much smoother animations.

Im gonna stop watching Madden vids. Can't wait to get my hands on this game.

I feel the same way! I've probably watched too many already, but I want to be surprised and see new things while playing and watching the videos is kind of spoiling the fun it will be seeing all the new implementations!

LOVED the missed extra point in the second vid. Wish it wouldn't have been wide by 30 yards though, but I'm glad they can be missed. Hopefully kicking is difficult this year.

the real question is how does the computer choose whom is announced running out of the tunnel? what if 20 years into a franchise, do they not do that anymore or do they announce the new guy?

The zig zag running and the lack of footplanting sticks out quite a bit in these videos.

There is nothing great that i have seen to make me want to buy this game. Some of the presentation are good but the game play is stil the same. Just a little enhance of Madden 10 & 11. I really believe that this is the best they can do and that sucks!. To all that think EA is just holding back, continue to hold your breath cause their not, its just the best that they can do. That's why they buy the rights because they can't compete period!.

look improved from 11..The player models are on point finally no more skinny line backers...but the game speed is good and running animations look alittle better.

I cannot tell a lie, Madden/NCAA is my ****. I love it to death, but I agree with an earlier post that stated this is probably the best they can do. I'm done waiting for the implementation of true footplanting and physics. It just doesn't seem like they're ever going to get it ya know?

Presentation looks greatly improved, and that is great. Add to that, all of the additions to franchise mode (DPP, progression, etc) and its a first day buy as usual for me, but there's no debating the iceskating look is still present and although the suction is gone will they ever add more tackle animations or what?

I'm seeing the same grab/wrap and roll tackle every single play. Where are the reach tackles at? I thought that 1 animation would atleast have finally made it in. Running back fighting for yards tackles, some different contact/spin animations? Come on now.

Anywho...Madden looks like it has improved some overall. I was all for picking this game up day one but watching the vids has lessened my excitement. I'll still be getting it but I will make sure to come here two weeks after release to see how the game has really been improved upon or not.
