Re: Phil Frazier is Leaving EA Sports Tiburon
The game has been flawed and missing essential features that previously existed. Like I said, customers have every right to be dissatisfied. I'm still staying open minded enough to find out if 2012 has gotten back to where it once was. It seems in some (franchise) features, 2012 will even surpass where it previously was. Just should not have taken this long. Customers have every right to be dissatisfied.Comment

Re: Phil Frazier the Latest to Leave EA Sports Tiburon Studio
Same here. Madden PC had it's flaws but that NZA guy and the rest of football-freaks were Madden PC mod GODS. I still have Madden PC 08 installed on my desktop. And like you, this is the first year since that Madden has my attention.Comment

Re: Phil Frazier is Leaving EA Sports Tiburon
You have a choice of not buying it. Coming to a forum nit picking every little thing is idiotic and counter productive.
And "Old" gen is OVERATED, period. NFL2K5 never was as good as what it seems to become each and every year. Money corner routes, robotic running etc...
Also no one ever mentions the things we do have (Broadcast cam, player lock camera etc......that old OVERATED gen never had.
Its the cool thing to do these days. bash a game and developer and overeact about a freaking VIDEO GAME.
At some point you have to just realize its a game and have fun. Giving input to help the game become better is fine. Bashing a developer and constantly talking about what isn't there is old and doesn't help a thing.
and yes the cool aid drinkers do get a hall pass at times I agree. It does go both ways.Last edited by Skyboxer; 06-17-2011, 10:58 PM.Joshua:

Re: Phil Frazier is Leaving EA Sports Tiburon
I was just commenting on the guy who was calling people dip___ts complaining about Madden. If you look back, I even bolded the dip___ts part. The guy didn't point out anyone specifically so I could only take it as a broad generality of those that had complaints. And I'm one of them. Though I try to be level headed and tactful with my complaints.Comment

I'm not complaining about the normal people who generally want to help. I'm talking about the people who aren't happy ever and want to be miserable all the time.
I have always given my fair share of negativety to EA and other developers and am sure even Ian doesn't have me high on his Christmas list. But the personal attacks and sky is falling crowd is getting old.
Helping try to make the game better is one thing, having an agenda is another. That's what I'm talking about.Joshua:

If you're levelheaded at all, then his post was not directed at you.I was just commenting on the guy who was calling people dip___ts complaining about Madden. Actually if you read his post, it's quite obvious who it was directed at. And he's 100% right.Comment

Then you really didn't understand the context of his post. I don't know how long you've viewed these forums but he is correct.I was just commenting on the guy who was calling people dip___ts complaining about Madden. If you look back, I even bolded the dip___ts part. The guy didn't point out anyone specifically so I could only take it as a broad generality of those that had complaints. And I'm one of them. And he never once has said people don't have a right to be dissapointed.
What point are you trying to make?Comment

Re: Phil Frazier is Leaving EA Sports Tiburon
Yes it has. It's pretty sad when at one point I loved coming to all the forums to help make a game better and get excited about a new release. Now it's too time consuming filtering the threads just to get to the real substance and not letting the constant negativity drag you down.
Anyways from what i've seen so far from Madden 12 it's a great step in the right direction and I hope the trend continues. This is the first Madden in a while that I've been this excited for.Joshua:

Re: Phil Frazier is Leaving EA Sports Tiburon
And so far, that's what I have chosen to do. Maybe that will change this year.
I don't think being dissatisfied with the product taking HUGE steps backwards for well over half a decade is either idiotic or juvenile.
I never had an XBOX or PS2. But I did have a PC and it was much better than what we've seen on this next generation, and the PC was a port of the previous years console game. So I have to strongly disagree with you. And then you add what the guys at football-freaks did to the PC game and it's not even close. This current (next) gen is still catching up. Maybe this is the year it does.
I've never owned a 2k NFL game, but I have had MLB and NBA 2K for the last 3 years and those games are so much better than where madden is. Since I strongly disagree with your assessment of prev. gen madden as opposed to this gen madden, I'm really leery about trusting your judgment of NFL2k5. I've heard to many great things about it and I have experience with MLB2k and NBA2K.
I don't think that recognizing that the game hasn't even come back to last gen standards over-reacting or bashing. Sorry, I strongly disagree.
No you don't. The game took a HUGE step backwards and it is the ONLY NFL video game in town. If 2K were still making one, then it would be OK for Madden to take a step back, cause we would still have another NFL football video game to turn to. I never had a NFL2K game, but I sure would like for them to get back into the picture. What you call bashing about what "isn't there" I call a huge problem when those features are pretty essential and previously existed. Again, I strongly disagree.
No they get a pass ALL THE TIME. You say good things about madden and there is absolutely no fear of infraction or banning. Even when someone like me states my opinion, I will get criticized by somebody else making excuses for why it's OK.
I hope you can understand where I'm coming from.Comment

Re: Phil Frazier is Leaving EA Sports Tiburon
But, next gen, so far has been somewhat miserable. So I understand the constant disappointment.
Me too. I guess I can't say "excited" yet, but I'm interested. I think they will have exceeded prev gen in some franchise features. I'm hopeful cause this year would be the year to get Madden, being a GB Packer fan.
Anyways, I think we understand each other, or at least I think we do, so there is really no need to continue this. I'm with you about being interested for the first time in years.Comment

Well, I am still buying this game regardless of the fact Phil Frazier, Ian Sanford, or whoever leaves E.A. Good luck to the guys that are moving on.Comment
