Re: Phil Frazier is Leaving EA Sports Tiburon
Generally speaking those people aren't trolling. They aren't posting stuff just to get a reaction. They aren't here to stir things up, just because.
I tend to pay attention to the cool aid drinkers about as much as the agenda pushers, but they get a pass for the reason they simply aren't here to start ****.Comment

Re: Phil Frazier is Leaving EA Sports Tiburon
I understand where you're coming from. I just don't think you realize the group I'm refering too.And so far, that's what I have chosen to do. Maybe that will change this year.
Same here. Well i know I'll be in line at midnight this year
I don't think being dissatisfied with the product taking HUGE steps backwards for well over half a decade is either idiotic or juvenile.
It hasn't gone backwards. They have stated since Madden 06 that they started over and built from ground up so nothing was really taken out. Don't understand why that doesn't sink in with people. Whether we believe that or not is up to us, BUT since they are the ones doing it , I'll have to believe them. Am I happy with the progress? hell no. Does it help to be rude and not helping with constructive feedback? nope.
I never had an XBOX or PS2. But I did have a PC and it was much better than what we've seen on this next generation, and the PC was a port of the previous years console game. So I have to strongly disagree with you. And then you add what the guys at football-freaks did to the PC game and it's not even close. This current (next) gen is still catching up. Maybe this is the year it does.
PC madden was very nice, agree. FPSFB was my favorite by far though.
I've never owned a 2k NFL game, but I have had MLB and NBA 2K for the last 3 years and those games are so much better than where madden is. Since I strongly disagree with your assessment of prev. gen madden as opposed to this gen madden, I'm really leery about trusting your judgment of NFL2k5. I've heard to many great things about it and I have experience with MLB2k and NBA2K.
I don't want you to trust my opinion. You should have your own. All I can say is that I am a HUGE Fb gamer and NFL2K5 while great in it's time, never was the Jesus of football games as it is claimed to be now. It had it's share of faults as all games do. Presentation has been second to none but the gameplay had it's faults by far.
I don't think that recognizing that the game hasn't even come back to last gen standards over-reacting or bashing. Sorry, I strongly disagree.
Again, I've given my share of feedback to EA. However I can do it without insults etc.. I also never said a game sucks a month before it's release..
No you don't. The game took a HUGE step backwards and it is the ONLY NFL video game in town. If 2K were still making one, then it would be OK for Madden to take a step back, cause we would still have another NFL football video game to turn to. I never had a NFL2K game, but I sure would like for them to get back into the picture. What you call bashing about what "isn't there" I call a huge problem when those features are pretty essential and previously existed. Again, I strongly disagree.
We all would like to have another choice and I've said a million times that if 2K was still around Madden would be way further along than it is. However 2K isn't around and that doesn't give anyone the right to post rude, personal attacks towards developers. then of course there are those lifelong agenda people who just posy negativity for the fun of it.
No they get a pass ALL THE TIME. You say good things about madden and there is absolutely no fear of infraction or banning. Even when someone like me states my opinion, I will get criticized by somebody else making excuses for why it's OK.
Why would someone get banned for saying something good? Again banning someone who is CONSTANTLY hitting every thread with the same tired speach and is clearly agenda driven is what I'm talking about.
I hope you can understand where I'm coming from.
I've been called a 2K lover and an EA lover in the same week... Why? because I'm fair in my feedback and I have absolutely no loyalty to either but I don't bash just to cause a ruckus and "be seen"...Joshua:

I think Skyboxer and I understand each other and where the other is coming from, so like I said in my last post, I don't think there is a need to continue. I gave my opinion, he game his.Comment

Re: Phil Frazier is Leaving EA Sports Tiburon
Features that were in Maddens previous to 06 were not in 06. Those features were missing, no matter what reason is given, those features are missing from that game. Not sure why that is hard to understand.
I loved Front Page Sports Football and baseball. I found and installed an old copy of FPS FB on my new Windows 7 64. Brought back great memories. Then they (Sierra) just had problems with there 99 version and discontinued all sports games except the hook and bullet sports. I was greatly disappointed.
Most I'll do about a game that hasn't been released yet is say I'm not optimistic. And that is usually going by track record. Criticizing a game before it's out is silly, just like hailing it the next coming of Jesus before it's out is silly. Though I do go by track record, like I'm really excited about Skyrim cause Oblivion and Fallout 3 where so good, especially with all the nexus mods you can get.
rude personal attacks toward developers should NEVER happen. Constructive criticism of the game and the direction a game has taken is OK, but not personal attacks on devs. 100% agree.
Cool, again, I think were done.
Actually, this is the way, even with differing points of view, things should be discussed.
Take Care dude.Comment

Re: Phil Frazier the Latest to Leave EA Sports Tiburon Studio
Yeah that pretty much sums me up too. 2K4 was still my most favoured experience in an NFL football game since 95 on the Sega or 98 on the PSX. 08 PC holds a special place. M12 is the first console release I've been interested in at all for a long long time.Comment

I hate to dog on skyboxer because he's defended me in the past but man, the game needs help, big time help, I'm just sick of EA when it comes to Madden. Someone really has to call them on this game which is just not getting it done..Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Happy for Phil. As much **** as I've given all of these guys, at the end of the day, it's never personal. Despite what's been said around here at times Phil has always been a good guy and a big football fan. Good luck to him and all of the other guys that have left the team.Comment

Re: Phil Frazier is Leaving EA Sports Tiburon
And I agree that Madden is no where near where I think it should be.
Never have I said otherwise. I think it's reason #1 why competition is needed. If there was another option I'd bet the farm Madden would be further along.
I'm saying theres a difference in being critical and being an ***. We all want a better game but I can present that without using insults and hit and run E-thug tactics.
So it's not that I don't think Madden can be better, it's that at the end of the day it's a game and I can respectfully point out flaws and ideas without being degrading to the developers.Joshua:
