I had no idea about the regression. I have read a few brief comments, but nothing where anything is explained. It stinks that SCEA's simulation engine is so poorly designed. I don't even know what "edited beyond their potential means". Blame the poor potentials given to players who are deserving of higher potentials and the poor simulation engine for that.
I edit these so that they're accurate for the current year. It's really that simple. I rate players based on their skill sets. The potentials aren't a factor, unless they're an A rated player and then sometimes I hold back on their ratings just a little bit.
As for Cueto, these are 25 man rosters, so there are a ton of players who are not on the 40 man rosters that should be.
As for Jungmann or Bradley having an 8 year contract, I had nothing to do with that.
I tried downloading and importing these players in the hopes that they would be accurate and that they wouldn't need many corrections, but almost all of them looked like weird and/or deformed cartoon characters. I just ended up editing those players (faces, attributes, equipment and - for almost all of them - stances and deliveries), instead of creating them on my own because I was trying to get these to a point where I could start a new franchise.
As for the Cardinals closer, I don't know who you're talking about, but it has to be Salas or Sanchez. Either way, this is another instance where the player should have an A potential rating.
