Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress
Go into their roster and edit the players to what you realistically think they should be. Go look at Auburn/Oregon/Stanford/Mich.St/USC/OSU/VT/etc... to get a good idea of how many players over 90 Bama should have. I think currently on the game they have something like 19 players over 90? Blatantly ridiculous, this number should be closer to 6-9 (even 9 is pushing it). Tone obviously overrated players down, like Trent Richardson...or the entire defense. Every starter on the defense is 92 or above, except the second CB, who is "only" 91. Basically think about it this way; if you don't think the player will go in the first 4 rounds of the NFL draft, they should not be above a 90. I know it's hard to tone DOWN your favorite team...but if you want to use them for a dynasty and not kill everyone you play by 31 points or more...it's necessary.
Then, when you have toned the team back down to earth, you might be able to have a dynasty that resembles realism. Still probably not though, the game seems to favor Bama in every way possible. Good luck with that.A gentleman is a man who knows how to play the accordion, but doesn't.Comment

Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress
I may be the only person on the face of the earth who is playing their NCAA 11 Dynasty, but I came back to my 5-year dynasty with Louisville (now Florida).
In my first year at Florida after 4 successful years at Louisville (8-5, 9-4, 9-4, 13-0*) I went 12-2 with a disappointing loss early in the year to Arkansas and a humbling 45-31 loss to Alabama in the SEC Championship before winning the Capitol One Bowl against #8 Michigan, 34-21.
At Louisville the year prior, I went 12-0, was the third ranked team in the BCS and left out of the championship in favor of a Rose Bowl appearance against Oregon. My quarterback won the heisman, I won the bowl and decided that I had done all that I could with Louisville so I took the Florida job.
The recruiting difference is already huge. In my first full year of recruiting (I had the CPU do my recruiting year 1), I have secured a 5* athlete and the #3 ranked recruit and a 4* HB.
Still enjoying....Comment

Man, some of you guys are really going at it with these Dynasties. My hope is that I can get a really long simulation style one going, similar to a lot of you here.Writer for Operation Sports

Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress
Entering week 1 of the 2018 season with CMU. Last season was lined up to be my dream season, with a stud QB and RB combo in their senior seasons. I scheduled tough to make sure my SOS would be enough to get into the title game if I won out. Went 12-0, my first undefeated regular season (I've been in the Big 10 for 3 years), and was the consensus #1. I was gonna win this baby and retire the dynasty, then pick up where I left off on my alternate dynasty with SDSU. Up against USC I took a 13-0 lead into the 4th but was struggling with 2 missed FGs and multiple turnovers. Ended up losing 14-13 to ruin it all so now I'm moving on to the next season to try another run at the title.
Fortunately I have some good defensive players returning, but my new QB has only 14 career pass attempts. He's pretty highly skilled though, and has great speed so I'll try to get him some chances to run. My running back situation isn't very good, which is bad news since I run at least twice as often as I pass. I'll go by committee until someone stands out from the pack.
My career coaching stats so far:
- Record: 95-14
- Winning Seasons: 8
- Longest Win Streak: 20
- Record vs Top 25: 17-10
- Record vs Rivals: 14-0 (WMU & EMU offer zero competition)
- Bowl Record: 6-2
- Conference Titles: 6
- National Titles: 0

Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress
Picked up my Ohio State dynasty yesterday in anticipation of 12 coming out, and I've been booking through it. Went 12-1 in 2010, and then 11-2 in 2011, and so far I'm 10-0 going into a showdown with #20 Iowa. Up next after that is current #1 and fellow undefeated Michigan, possibly setting up another #1 v #2 undefeated matchup.
My QB, Kenny Guiton, is awful, just awful. I mean he's got good speed, and he's 86 overall, but I can't wait for him to be gone. My team is led by a talented WR core, a superstar HB in Jamaal Berry, and my dominant defense.Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati RedsComment

Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress
Still playing my Indiana dynasty. Just finished up season 2027 last night. Finished the year 11-2 (7-1) winning the Capital One Bowl 37-7 over Florida.
Wisconsin beat defending-NC Miami to win the National Championship.
I've yet to a win a NC with Indiana, but have won 5 BigTen titles and now have 6 straight seasons of 10+ wins. I've won the Rose Bowl twice, Fiesta Bowl, and Orange Bowl. I've lost in the National Title game once.
All in all one of the most enjoyable dyansties I've ever played.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress
Been playing my current Dynasty for 13 Seasons. The first 6 with Toldeo Rockets in the MAC and the next 7 with Georgia. My goal was to get a job in the SEC and try to win the 4-straight NC trophy (I have never won that trophy on any NCAA game). Secondary goal was to establish a playing style and recruit to fit that style.
My teams have big QB's and WR/TE and I use 2 backs (a scat back style and a power back). I have a very balanced offence. Last years numbers were 4,300 through the air and 2,600 on the ground. I sim the d-side of the ball so I value awareness above all else on D.
Last night I won my 3rd consecutive NC with a 24-22 victory over Ohio St (2024, I think). If the game were a minute longer I probably would have choked.
I'm loosing a 3-year starter at QB with ver 9,500 yards and 85 TD's. However his replacement is 6.4 and 225 lbs and will be 99 OVR Sr. with 90/90/94 in the speeds and above 90 THP/THA. The guy has been one of my best slot receivers and I'm confident he can get the job down at QB.
My scat back Jr. (5.7 and 185 lbs) will get most carries. He ran for around 900 yrds / 10 td's last year. He has great speed and agility. There'll be a competition to back him up between a JUCO recurit (6.1 and 215 lbs) and a slow developing Jr. (6.0 and 209 lbs).
I'll have one of my top 3 WR back but will need a player to step up here. I have a lot of depth at that position and should be fine with some underclassmen ready to step up. My TE should challenge for the Mackey.
The D-side is under construction with 8 starters leaving. My d-line will be completed with all new faces. And my best retruning CB is a 79.
I dominate the SEC and have met Bama in the conference finals in the 4 of the last 6 seasons (LSU on 2 occassions). I'm an A+ team and Bama was a B+ last team. Most of the other SEC clubs range in the B/B-/C+ range.
I should get the chance to play for that elusive 4th consecutive title but could loose in the BCS game... if last years contest vs. the A+Buckeyes is any indication. Will post the results by the end of week.Last edited by Boris Le Tigre; 06-26-2011, 10:43 AM.Comment

Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress
THAT'S what I like right there...taking a program and building a system. Great stuff!!!
Anyway, I'm in my 4th season in my Rutgers dynasty. (My contract is for 6, but I'm waiting for a job at Notre Dame to open up.)
1st year: Beat Army in the Armed Forces Bowl. RB Joe Martinek won Doak Walker award.
2nd year: Big East champs. Beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl 21-14. What a game!
3rd year: Big East champs (12-0). Lost to Oregon in the Rose Bowl 41-31.
4th year: Currently 6-1. Was ranked #23, but lost a tough one to Pitt. Next game is against #25 Syracuse.Comment

Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress
Update...
I won my 4th consecutive NC. Easily dismantled Ohio St. by more than 20-points (Ohio St. came in rated A+, I was an A).
This year's team was better than I expected. Especially on offence where I put up more than 4,500 yards through the air and 2,700 on the ground.
They were led by a Sr. QB 99 Ovr. He put up just 4,000 Yards, threw 40 TD passes/9 picks, and ran for another 8 TD's. He got shut out of the awards but finished 2nd for the Camp Trophy.
The running game played out much differently than I expected. That slow developing jr. picked up a 7 point improvement and got the majority of the carries. He finished with 1,300 yards and 20 td's (turned pro early, too). Scat back got over 700 yards and ended up missing 3 games due to injury.
My MVP was my #1 Sr. WR. He is probably the best WR I've had and his hands were glue. He produced over 105 catches, 1,700 yards... but only 12 TD's so he was shut out award-wise.
Was a great year... A- stength of schedule. Alabama was the only team that was close (6 point victory - and even then they scored late). Victories over Stanford, TCU, Hawaii, and Va Tech, and LSU made their third appearence in the SEC championship.
Heading in to the season, I singed a 5-year extension with Georgia. After winning the BCS, I was extended for 6 years. So I'm now in year 2/11...
And tonight I will begin the long road back to mediocracy (heavy simming). See who is willing to take a chance on a down-trending coach who once built a dynasty...
