    Most Overrated Players

In honor of the great thread on underrated players, I wanna know who on your team or on the teams you face regularly has a high rating but plays like crap.

In my Phillies franchise, it's Cliff Lee. For whatever reason, I can't seem to pitch an entire solid game with Lee. He'll dazzle for an inning or two and then hit these stretches where he can't seem to find the zone. It's so frustrating. I pitch with great consistency with Halliday and Hamels, but not Lee. Arrgghh!

He's not on my team but I played with him before.

Billy Butler. He's a solid young player but I can't hit to save my life with him,

        Ryan Zimmerman, offensively.

Defensively, he's awesome. I really really struggle with him on O though.

Got to disagree. Guy is the only reason I struggle against the Nats in franchise mode lol.

My vote goes to Billy Butler. Whenever I go against him in this game, he never shows up.

              Nick Markaikis.

Against righties he's an 80 contact, 65 power, but I can't do either with him. When I swing for contact, occasionally I'll get a solid single, but I hit a lot of weak ground balls. When I swing for power, occasionally I'll get a solid smack into the gap, maybe even over the wall a few times a year, but inevitably I just fly out most of the time.

When I'm controlling him, I can't hit more than .250 and more than 12 HRs over the year. Luckily he has the 5 sim games in between for the CPU to boost his stats

Interesting. I almost traded for Bard to bolster the pen in my Phillies franchise because his pitches looked just sick and he had the potential to grow into a closer, but the price was just a tad steep (they wanted a 4 star minor league pitcher). I went with the cheaper O'Flaherty instead. Maybe that was the right call .

Ortiz, Youkilis, Bautista, Beltran to name a few. As for the guy who says Bard, I agree, he often surrenders 2-3 hits an inning when I use him (His BAA in my franchise mode was close to .400).

I'm having similar results with Youkilis (Though the power didn't show up until early June, only 3 HR and a sub-400 SLG%, then reached 10 by today, the 29th). I've only managed .250-.260 results with him. As for Papi, he's been hovering around the Mendoza Line all season with little power, but a solid June pushed him up to .240, and hit 6 HR to give him 9 on the season. BTW, A-Gon is an absolute monster in this game, I hit 13 HR with him in May and another 8 in June to give him 22 on the season.

                        A-rod and Cano. They're horrible.

Freddy Sanchaz is like a strike out machine for me whenever I use the Giants.

Pujols too. He can't hit a single to save his life. I also get him out constantly when I play against him.

I can never get a hit with Martin Prado. He's batting like .220 for me right now.

I would say Ian Kinsler, I can't even hit a single with him to save my life and I strikeout with him multiple times.

None of these post are about overrated players. Everyone is just posting who they can't hit or pitch with.
