Re: Demo is up now on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace
I'd say the thing about Gilbert is realisticI'm getting sacks, but its because Gilbert is staying in the pocket way too long.
No CPU awareness by the QB near their own endzone. Didnt even try and scramble out to avoid the safety.
The way the players move is almost a game killer for me. Its so bad still. Player can cut on a dime like its nothing. still going full speed making 90degree cuts.
what?
I love football too much to not buy the gameHook 'em Horns! Longhorn for life!

Re: NCAA Football 12 Demo Impressions (360) PS3 Demo Available Later This Afternoon
The warping seems to be pretty well controlled . . . had a run by my QB on a broken play where in the past the MLB would have gotten him after about 3 yds. Without the warping effect my QB was able to stay just far enough away to scamper in the end zone.
Liking what I see so far.

Yeah the playbook scrolling isn't exactly my favorite, but once I get used to it things should be easier. I like this game, doesn't seem like a whole lot has changed since last year, just more refined. Defenses seem slightly faster, which is nice and the new intro is designed just like the new (last year's) college gameday intro.Playing NCAA 14 demo, BO2, The last of usComment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Demo Impressions (360) PS3 Demo Available Later This Afternoon
here's my take on the demo
Pros:
1. You & the AI can run out of the spread.
2. Option seems less effective.
3. Designated QB runs and draws are effective.
4. Screens work.
5. Good job with inaccurate passes/incompletions.
6. No Psychic DBs.
7. Deep ball not automatic.
8. Cpu Offense can run from single back sets.
9. Zone D is Realistic.
10.Pass rush is effective.
Cons:
1. CPU Still blitz CBs too much.
2. CBs very aggressive vs. outside runs. In the backfield a little too quickly imo.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Demo Impressions (360) PS3 Demo Available Later This Afternoon
I think the on-field gameplay plays well -- I thought this last year as well. I saw a beautiful diving catch! It made me particularly happy b/c I've seen so many instances in Madden when the receiver makes no play for the ball.
What plagues this game for me is that it's boring. Even though there were several instant replays (liked that a lot), it still feels like traditional EA call play-run play-call play-run play. There's cutscenes in between and what have you, but it doesn't feel like a broadcast to me.
Slap some outstanding in-game presentation on this game, and we've have something spectacular. Maybe they'll follow suit next year with what Madden is doing this year.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Demo Impressions (360) PS3 Demo Available Later This Afternoon
They had team entrances in the past and this year hasn't improved on it very much. For the 1% who are going to actually watch them more than ONCE it is a HUGE WASTE of time and resources.Originally posted by DoomsDayD1978Speak for yourself....team entrances add an excellent element of presentation to the game that has been lacking for years.Comment

One thing to remember when saying man to man coverage is really tight. The four teams in the demo are really good teams with really good players. Dre Kirkpatrick a CB from Bama is a top 10 pick in NFL mock drafts for next year, Cliff Harris of Oregon is projected to be a first rounder. These guys are studs and these teams have top players back there, lets hope that has something to do with it.The Sports Technology Blog

Crowd is improved, but still leaves a lot to be desired. During kickoffs they do the ooooOOOOOOOHH! thing that happens in real life, which is nice. They react appropriately to big plays, but still seem quiet. Maybe if you turn up the crowd noise slider in the real game it will be better.Comment
