another thing i have just gotten burned on 3 games in a row, the CPU will always complete a long ball b.c the WR is always wide open. and to someones previous statement about playing on AA, i played on it because of all the sliders on last years game. Im ready for a set of sliders already to stop hail marys, having the CPU defensive line get through the line a little better, and hey guess what it didnt happen in 4 games but game 5 the superman lineman was back haha

Yah I don't think it will be with every team but if you have speed definetely. I didn't get but one sack blitzing with oregon, but with alabama i had 8. Ore was on AA Alabama was on Heisman.Bltizing the cpu is like shooting fish in a barrel. Did a double safety blitz out of the nickel. Didn't even touch anything. Both safeties hit the Texas QB at the same time, he fumbled, my team scooped it up and ran it back for a 40 yard TD fumble recovery.
So far I managed to get a sack out of every blitz play I called. Double safety, CB, NB, Rlb, Llb, zone blitz.......
I can see people online playing with a fast defense wreaking havoc on people who like to roll out with the QB. You blitz anybody and they getting there to the QB fast.
Texas secondary is bad though. They must have had a lot of people graduate or something. And their QB is even worse. When he misses throws, he misses by a wide margin.
Loved seeing him getting yelled at though. Halftime he threw 4 INTs and sacked 4 times. Wish they benched players performing badly.
Tex db's did lose a lot. Have one good safety back but they lost top three cb's to gradutation and leaving early.SCHUMJ's 1995 roster : http://www.operationsports.com/forum...box-360-a.htmlComment

They move a lot more in the pocket, a whole lot of side to side bouncing around movement. However far as them taking off though seems to be based on their style I guess.
FSU QB scrambled often.
Oregon QB only twice.
Texas QB none.
Alabama QB a few times.
At times they still do that run and stop at the LOS for no reason and launch it into triple coverage even though there isn't anybody standing in front of them.
When the QB gets hit on the throw, the ball goes into the ground now. Sometimes QB fumbles are called incomplete passes.Comment

the CB blitz worked everytime for FSU, and the QB is amazingly to fast, i think it is because of the quick gameplay though, but then again i was Oregon and James was getting caught by DE and DT on long runs.Go Bucks!!Comment

Just my opinion but I think the demo makes it hard to evaluate offenses for playing with or against running teams. With 2 minute quarters it is just basically a matter of chance you get enough time in one half to run the ball enough to put up any kind of stats. Even with the hurry up unless you are getting a 1st down each time or out of bounds not enough time in the half to really get a feel for the offenses. Especially with the CPU.Just played the FSU vs Alabama demo on the Xbox 360. Great graphics, great enterance for FSU, crowd sound was bland though.
Pros:
-New Tackling Engine looks and feels great! This was a darkhorse for me, because they really did not hype it up as much. I don't feel anymore suction tackles, and I just love it!
-Game feels a lot more smooth.
Cons:
-I played on All American, and felt that the game was a tad bit easy. Maybe it was because of the shortened quatars, but the Alabama Offense really did not put up anything.
Overall, I am very happy! I am excited to see what this game brings and feel like this could be a good year for the NCAA fans!SCHUMJ's 1995 roster : http://www.operationsports.com/forum...box-360-a.htmlComment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Demo Impressions (360) PS3 Demo Available Later This Afternoon
Enjoyed the game so far. Been running as Orgeon since Louisville also uses a spread. The running game was better out of the spread than it has been.
I'm going to struggle a bit against the new zone defense, I've thrown a pick or come close to throwing one in every game so far. Overall it was a nice improvement along with my QB overthrowing his WR sometimes. Made it feel realistic. Only thing I didn't like was on one pass it regressed back to Madden 09 and the "inaccurate" pass was thrown DIRECTLY to a defender who was miles away from the play, luckily he didn't intercept it.
The QBs probably do get away too much, but I don't think they got away enough at times last year, so a happy balance needs to be found.
The WRs diving for balls was nice, but I wish they'd fight for them more.
Comeback routes are still easy to pick off on defense, and too easy to throw INTs into on offense. It seems like no matter what the defender always has the first step. Even if he missed the WRs break. May be I'm throwing it wrong?
The QBs are definitely less accurate on the run.
The CPU threw the ball away, which was nice, but it should have been intentional grounding on a few occasions.
Oh, talk about sacking the QB! Blocking is a little shoddy right now, by psychic computer AI is gone. They'll take a sack! It's awesome.
Also, the computer doesn't always seem to know what play you're calling, which is nice. You can spread it wide and run.
My biggest complaint with the demo was actually 2 minute quarters + accelerated clock. Really annoying trying to gauge the running game. I don't think 5min quarters are seriously too much to ask.Comment

Mine was opposite against ALABAMA. The offense destroyed me with the run then pass, could never guess the right play, and their defense was terrible, put up good amount of points against them on the groundLast edited by pmurray20; 06-28-2011, 03:04 PM.Go Bucks!!Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Demo Impressions (360) PS3 Demo Available Later This Afternoon
I just remembered a couple other things I experienced while playing on my lunch. First play on defense I had good pressure on Tex QB but was late getting there. He got the pass off. And I was flagged for Roughing the passer. I was excited as I think penalties need some work and don't remember any roughing the passers in 11 even with it set to 100. Speaking of penalties I have had my opening kickoff be called back for holding on both games I played.SCHUMJ's 1995 roster : http://www.operationsports.com/forum...box-360-a.htmlComment

i agree most people who dis Varsity level are usually people who never even loaded up a game with sliders on varsity level...they just go off of absumption that the game can only be effective on the highest levelI love the "male parts" compensation talk going on this thread about how the game is too easy for them.
Find a good mode for you and the right pair of sliders and play the game where it is at a difficulty level you are comfortable with. No need to have 200 comments about how "below you" playing on default Varsity or All-American is.
It's one of the reasons why i don't plan on posting any sliders in Madden or NCAA 12 because you always get a bunch macho clowns coming into the slider thread talking down on you as if a lower level makes you any less of a true SIM fan.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

Re: NCAA Football 12 Demo Impressions (360) PS3 Demo Available Later This Afternoon
Overall game play seems to be more authentic. People who say the players can cut on dimes are wrong, I have thrown drag passes where my receiver's momentum kept him running east to west for a little bit while he cut. I see lots of potential for bad game play in a lot of the new formations. With Oregon, I ran 5 Wide Quad, with 4 receivers bunched to one side of the field and through 5 straight 80+ passes to the X receiver who was uncovered. I hope EA looks at this because it is def. broken. ON HEISMANComment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Demo Impressions (360) PS3 Demo Available Later This Afternoon
Had some pretty fun times playing as everybody but FSU.
Some things I noticed...
The field texture looks really bad for some reason, especially in Texas. The Big 12 logo looks super down-rezzed. Hopefully this is an early build issue, but I doubt it. It does seem worse than the past few years though.
There are some weird issues with animations, especially on punters. The animations seem to stutter. Purely visual stuff though.
Dynamic lighting looks awesome. Second half @ Doak Campbell was played in the late day time, and it gave an overtime game a really cool look.
In terms of gameplay, the line play seems a lot better, at least results-wise. I was able to get pressure occasionally with 4, and I did better with 5 or more, as you should. One thing I noticed is that shifting and crashing your line to the same side is really effective.
I liked that the CPU QBs would look to run, and that they were often effective in doing so. Manuel from FSU torched me a couple of times with nice runs.
Zone coverage is really nicely implemented. Seeing the zones shift and move as players move through them is really nice. Pass trajectories are better, and LB super jumps seem to be toned down. The only issue I had is that there seemed to be a lot of drops, but maybe that was just Bama's WRs. I didn't notice it for the other teams.
Spread running with Oregon was fantastic. Counters, dives, read options, etc all work really well. I still haven't really been able to manufacture good gains when the QB keeps it on a read, but it's definitely better than last year.
That's all I got for now.Comment
