This happened to me tonight, but they actually called it a fumble, I almost lost the ball because I just thought they were going to rule it an incomplete pass. They reviewed it and after the review it did show his arm moving forward so they overturned the ruling on the field.

This! I don't know how many times I've hit the QB, he drops the ball, and it is ruled incomplete.

NCAA 11 or 12 feels and looks the same to me. In college football i have never seen 100% sure tacklers in my life thats why they all don't make it to the NFL. Open field super safties that never miss the mark... Or is it the animations that create such flawless never miss fast twitch Super Safties who latch on so fast, creating the slight of hand magic you might almost forget about the suck suck tackling. Or is it the pause the LB's do before they blitz.. Or could it be the LB's just waiting for the ball to come flying 20 feet over their heads so they can unleash that super power they have, being able to jump tall buildings in a single bound to knock the ball out of the air. hummm.
I don't even want to speak to the patti cake my DE play with the OL wow....come on EA stop with the Jedi mind tricks please..
What happend to the Truck stick is it broke.. why use the spin move its not good for real. do they have maximum passing in this game? Lets hope its only a demo right......

I've noticed some glitchy tackles and sacks. I had what I thought was going to be a sack and the quarterbacks arm "dislocated" and he threw it as he was going down. Another what I picked up a sack but it looked like my guy actually run through the quarterback as if he wasn't there.

The field on Texas IMO looked terrible. It just didn't look like a natural field or a turf field. It just looked like some green was thrown down with a Texas logo in the middle. Just my opinion.

I also noticed some broken zone, more then I expected as well as Four Verticals STILL seemingly uncoverable over the middle.

All that said, it's definitely a LOT better then 11 and it feels overall like a different game.

Hey guys, did you notice the AI making weird playcalls? Playing on Heisman, Alabama attempted a 60 yard field goal against me. This was in the 3rd quarter, score tied at seven

I just noticed something peculiar. Alabama's Pro Combat helmets facemask's are a much darker, and better looking grey than the standard helmet's facemask that often looks white.

I think it may have something to do with the different systems. As for my impression, just from the demo I'd call this NCAA 11.5. That's not necessarily a bad thing cause I loved in 11. I just don't think there is areal big difference. My wife thought it was the same game lol.
I am interested in this too. I only use ps3 and I hear all the time how games are better on 360.

My impression of ps3 version is it was basically Madden 11.5. I saw Alabama's offensive line pancake my entire dline simultaniously, I got picked by a super lb and then had a super lb return the favor for me the next play and I tried to throw a deep curl route and watched as my wr came back towards the ball only to watch it sail over his head into the arms of a safety without even trying to catch it.

Even with all that, for some reason this game seems more fun to play than last years game. AA was giving me some challenging games. I'll probably gamefly the retail version and be ready to move on when the madden demo drops.

OK, so I just played about 10 games of Oregon Vs Texas, just to get a feel for the Oregon Offense as it is one of my favorite iterations of the spread offense.

In the normal formations, the read option is a lot more effective than last years. It hits a lot faster than it did and the QB's acceleration seems better.

There are several read option plays that have the normal playart in the playcalling screen but, once the overlay comes up on the field, it turns out to be the inside belly read option. The reads for this are a bit weird. I have had it work several times keeping and giving it, but, like I said, the read seems a bit funky.

Not all of the formations that are in Oregon's playbook actually have zone read in them. A few have the slot-zone read triple but that is it. Funny when you think about it.

The offset half back dives are effective from the offset formations but there are a few offset plays hidden in the regular shotgun formations. These are extremely effective and I gashed Texas with the numerous times.

The PA Passes were fine for me. I only got sacked a few times on those. The pass rush seems very very good. I gave up a lot of sacks to DEs...mostly because I get jittery in the pocket lol.

Overall, I am very excited about July 12th now. I think I may try to pick this game up early lol.

If you would like to see the Wing T in action, you can check out my twitch channel. I stream there..badly. I post highlights on my youtube channel as well!

Ok, running the option with Oregon is much better... the DE's no longer magically release their block.

Super LB and Psychic DB are there... but slightly toned down, I only saw each once on Varsity, default.

To me this game is what they should've been able to patch NCAA 11 into. It's just not that big of a leap.

I know why they hid it at E3, and it WASN'T to showcase Madden.

Also " presentation" being worked on etc... Nessler sounds so bored during the team entrances it's not...even...funny

I'll wait to see reviews/impressions from full retail.

I'd also like to add the ridiculous amount of fumbles on Heisman. I've had 3 in the first quarter and a half in my second game.

                          My demo impressions=yuk.

                          On Offense:<O</O
It still takes no skill to pass, you have little to no control over where or how hard the ball is passed other than picking the receiver you want to throw to. I can envision many 1,2 or 3 play touchdown drives..I had three in my first game (on AA).<O</O

                          On Defense:<O</O
It's still next to impossible to cover a receiver in the open field with a user controlled defender, there is no deflect or swat pass button, but that doesn't really matter because the passes are thrown so fast that even if you by chance had your defender in position to make a play the ball is passed so hard/fast that you don't have time to react anyway. <O</O

I'm still on the hunt for a football game that makes me feel like I'm in control of the action and what I do with the sticks DOES have an impact on the game. Sadly this isn't it. You might as well not even play defense and on offense the bulk of the challenge is simply finding the open receiver and hitting to corresponding button with very little risk/reward involved in your decisions. Graphics are beautiful but for me that doesn’t cut it. If you’re looking for a game that is basically a strategy type game where you call the action and watch it play out on the field this might be a nice option for you. But if you're looking for something that is rewarding to play that gives a sense of accomplishment, this isn’t it. This game reminds me of Tecmo Bowl on steroids.<O</O
