No mention of "Authentic Brutality" (i.e cuts/swelling) returning to offline...I sure hope it's there after the tuner updates are rolled back. I'm not an EA-basher, as I've long been a fan of their games, but I've never felt so blatantly cheated on a video game purchase. You don't advertise something as a main selling point in your product only to take it out. That would be a major legality issue in just about any other industry.Check out my large collection of NCAA Football 12 screen shots from my Ohio State and USF Dynasties!

Tough call on this. To me it all hinges on the multiple punch aspect of this patch. You're almost forced to back off a spam jabber. If the body spam is still exploitable and moving backwards causes quicker depletion of stamina then I think it will absolutely destroy online play. Spam jabbers moving forward could equate to 1200-1300 punch counts with a full bill of health going into the final two rounds. I'm not real thrilled with the prospect of that.xXxDrUnKeN_MaStAxXxComment

As it stands right now, with whatever "ninja tuner" they seem to have implemented, damage-per-punch is WAYYYYYYYYYYYY below where it should be. It's nearly impossible to get a KO right now against someone who knows what they're doing. I'm gonna reserve my judgement until after the patch drops. Here's crossing my fingers...Comment

It's going to be interesting seeing one punch KOs back. From what I understand, they had to roll the previous tuners back to what was out of the box in preparation for the patch. When the patch hits they will apply a tuner. I'd like to see jab spammers getting knocked out because of continued punches.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

I am top 50 in the world online, and I got there fighting realistically. I have been proud of that, but in 2 online fights (given, that's not enough to form an educated opinion), I have tried to stick and move and have suffered absurd stamina penalties.
In addition, I just fought as Wlad vs Marciano online, and got spanked by some punk who threw nothing but body punches for 5 rounds. I tried to keep him out of range with my jab, but he easily blocked, walked right through, and once he was inside, there was no way for me to get back out of range. YIKES!Comment

I agree with you 100% percent.
This GAME isn't about effective BOXING any Longer.
Its about Brawling, I am RANK as well but not as high as you but in the bottom thousand.
I can no longer use the STICK & Move strategy either.
Now we're force to stand in front and take a beaten.
It makes no sense that ALI can't now avoid Punches or Body Punches from a good Body Puncher in this game any longer
Then on top of that, by round 4, 5, & 6 your TO TIRED to do anything.
and that is just throwing 1 or 2 punches a time and pausing for 5 to 10seconds.Comment

i looked for the ninja tuner and it wasn't there i couldn't download it. but overall I like the patch . as far as backing up goes as long as your not trying to go from one side of the ring to the other I don't have a problem with the stamina .Comment

Re: Fight Night Champion Title Update #2 Details, Arrives June 28th
It's pathetic, to be honest. I made a huge rant in the other patch thread, so I won't do it again. All I'll say is that the ability to make an opponent miss and then make him pay is one of the fundamental aspects of boxing. Counter punchers move around the ring. It's as simple as that. In this game, I had tons of success sticking, moving, using angles, making opponents miss, and then punishing them. My opponent connect percentage was typically in the 30s while mine was in the 50s, and that's just my style. It's a style that emulates tried-and-true boxing strategy, and it's completely gone now.
I feel like I run the game as close to reality as you can get (hardcore sim head man) but they've effectively cancelled outside fighters. You have to stand in the box and flail away now. Wow.
1 or 2 jabs then backing up will kill your stamina by the 4th or 5th round. I'm having problems against the body jab spammers now. I was furious lol. I'm like, how does this dude have more energy than me while he's throwing 6-10 punches in a row while I'm throwing 1 or 2 jabs and maybe a hook?
Looks like they didn't distinguish a difference between runners and stick and movers. Damn.Comment

Ohhhh. Meth, I thought it was just me lol. I did read that there would be a penalty to stamina for backing up but it appears that this penalty has really murdered my experience. I too am a stick and mover and I was wondering why my stamina was damn near gone in like the 4th round.

Re: Fight Night Champion Title Update #2 Details, Arrives June 28th
the thing im learning is the guys i fight online are heavily using the modified punches early. Modified punches is one of the reasons opponents steal rounds from you so you have to be aware of this and act accordingly. sticking n moving would work proper but not til later rounds ..as it should.. so yeah there is some adjusting we have to do...Comment
