Re: NCAA Football 12 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (360, PS3)
NCAA 12 does feel like NCAA 11. Why? Because they both use the same locomotion system. Most people here praise NCAA 11 because it was such an improvement and might be the best NCAA game to date. Yet people sit here and criticize NCAA 12 because the gameplay didn't change much, but instead it just improved a lot of the wrong with 11.
It's like people were expecting a big leap in gameplay even though there wasn't a need for one. NCAA 11 fixed a lot of the problems people had with gameplay. NCAA 12 comes along and just improves upon what NCAA 11 started and people get angry.
NCAA 12 fixed zone coverage, fixed CPU scrambling logic, improved the psychic play calling, improved CPU play calling logic, improved CPU running ability, drastically reduced suction, added diving catches, significantly improved the tackling engine, fine tuned locomotion, nearly removed super human defenders, polished man coverage even more, improved shotgun running, improved the option running, yet people still fail to give the game praise.
NCAA 12 did not make the leap in gameplay that 11 did because there was no need for it. NCAA 12 did what I just posted with gameplay(and I probably left out a lot) and then doubled the amount of authentic entrances, made the current ones more dynamic by having multiple camera angles you can see them from, improved RTG by implementing a TB feature within it, added a HS season, added iron man football, added a new way of being recruited, added a new way of improving your player, added coach's trust, and tuned the play calling logic.
Then with dynasty CPU teams now recruit better and more to their style of play, they added a coach carousel, fine tuned stats to make them more realistic which also helps other positions other than QB win the Heisman, they added bowl patches, they improved custom conferences and allow you to make changes mid dynasty to conferences to reflect real life changes, or to go crazy with, they gave us custom playbooks to use, and a lot more.
NCAA 11 made a huge leap in gameplay and added some authentic entrances, but really that is where the improvements ended. It got well deserved praise because it finally had gameplay that was satisfactory to majority of fans. Then with NCAA 12 they continued to build onto the gameplay by improving a lot of the issues present in NCAA 11, then they made big leaps in career modes, they gave us custom playbooks,, and doubled the amount of authentic entrances, but people are still disappointed in the game and call it NCAA 11.5 when it really has made more improvements over 11 than 11 did over 10.
