1987 90 man roster with correct vitals

The 1987 minors 90 man rosters with correct vitals and positions is now in the vault..
i just added the extra players from A ball or Rookie ball and put them in the rosters alot of players you will reconize.
Carlos Baerga,John Jaha,Jerome Walton,Derrick May,Joe Girardi, and the list goes on and on..and i corrected the lineups and rotation for AAA/AA for whatever league they was in that year for instance.Jerome Walton will not be in AA he will still be on A roster..i got them as accurate as i could sure there are still mistakes out there.but as far as Im concerned I am done 4 1/2 months working on these im just burned out completely.as far as someone wanting to work on the stances/deliveries/faces/equipment feel free too and hope someone does that just makes it much better..
but once again thank you to everyone involved in these..and happy playing !!!

http://www.mediafire.com/?4kns5rk5s64d6uu link for the 1987 Roster!

I will just use this same thread for the 2012 version on the 1987 rosters, if you want to volunteer to help that would be most appreciated. I have everything saved in my external harddrive that I saved from last year but as everyone knows this is a very very long process especially when your dealing with all the AAA/AA/A players but that will make the franchise and RTTS playing much more enjoyable. All I ask for is if you want to volunteer to help just really put in there vitals such as Name/age/pos/hgt/wgt/throw/bat and if you want go all the way with the faces, stances, accesorries ect.....I do not have a set date as when these will be done I will work my hardest to get these done in a shorter time than last year. Thank you.

You definately went above and beyond, just a great job with these. Just enjoy the game now, because before you know it, 12' will be here, and like I mentioned before in the other thread, I just hope we can convert these over to the new game, to much hard work was done on these.

Beast mode! Thanks for all of your hard work; I'd feel like I was insulting you if I didn't run a franchise with this set after all the work you put in.

By the way, what did you do about teams like the Rockies and Rays that weren't around in 87?

for the Rockies/Marlins/D-Backs/Rays...we just use generated players..
and awesome yeah if you guys can come up with stances/deliveries ect that would be totally awesome that is definatley not my category..but as far as the attributes i just used a microsoft excel formula..the same as the mlb excel but changed some formulas around took about 10 points off for AAA-15 for AA and 25-30-A so if a guy in majors contact was 80 in A it would be 50.but there was no splits for minors on baseball reference so it was more of a guessing game but i think they came out really good.and i started my franchise with the Reds last night and T.Higuera beat me 2-1 .Glenn Braggs homer beat me..

And whats cool is all these players made if someone ever wanted to say make the 1984 roster set or 1990 it could easily be done.90% of the players are already on the 87 rosters so all they would have to do is manage roster swap alot of players around then change ages, and also change the attributes but i think it wouldnt take nearly as long as this set did..so if anyone wants to ever do that.that would be the way to do it!!

Yeah it will be interesting to see if anybody else would want to do any more years, a lot of the work is already done for these. Did you say the free agent list is all from guys who retired in 84?

Most of the Free agent list is mainly guys who retired in 85 and 86 but i did see a couple mistakes that needs to be fixed like Terry forster is in the free agent list and also on the Twins.and for some reason Gus Polidor they call him Wang Jung or something there isnt even audio on his name...and dont ask me why eric davis turned white haha..but yeah the 84 roster would be awesome bet it wouldnt take too much time, wouldnt have to create too many guys wouldnt think anyway just mainly switching teams..the tiger fans would definatley love that year lol

Re: 1987 90 man roster with correct vitals

Huge trade involving the New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals!

No sooner than the first month of the season and already we have some player movement. The New York Yankees looking to bolster their rotation in the future gave up a piece from their Major League roster as well as a nice lefty prospect.

                      The Yankees send:

LF - Gary Ward (age 32)
                      P - Ken Patterson (age 22 B Potential)

                      For

                      P - Kevin Appier (19 years old B Potential)

Ward was shocked when he received the news from the team. Appier is considered one of the better pitching prospects in the Royals from system. The Royals have been said to have concerns about Appiers pitching motion and causing future arm trouble and they also wanted to solidify their outfield as they feel they can make a run this year. They also received Patterson a young lefty prospect. The Yankees on paper look as though they overpaid slightly but they really wanted Appier as they feel he can step in within a year or 2 and be the staffs ace.

In other news the Yankees are off to a 5-5 start Currently here are your division leaders after 10 games into this young 87 season.

                      AL East - Boston 7-3
                      AL Central - Royals 5-4
                      AL West - Rangers/A's 6-4

                      NL East - Expos 7-2
                      NL Central - Brewers 7-3
                      NL West - Dodgers 7-3

For the Yankees Ricky Henderson is off to an extremely hot start

                      .423 BA 13 Runs 1 2B 1 3B 6 HR 14 RBI 6 SB 11 BB 1 SO

I am sure he will cool off but he has looked like a league MVP from the first pitch of this young season.

The Yankees also have pitcher Bob Tewksbury and first baseman Orestes Destrada on the trading block. The Dodgers are said to be very interested in Destrada a nice power hitting prospect from Cuba and really have an eye for Tewksbury as well. The Yankees are reported to be after a veteran Starting Pitcher and Bob Welch's name has been tossed around as a target.

I had a fantastic game today vs the Orioles.

Ron Guidry was pitching a gem and Dave Winfield was leading the way wih 2 HR's and 4 RBI's in helping staking the Yankees to a 5-0 lead going into the 7th inning. Louisiana Lighting is alive and well early in the 87 season as he headed into this game 2-0 with a 3.15 era. In the 7th inning with one out and runners on first and second Cal Ripkin rips a double into the RC gap to bring in 2 runs and cut the lead to 5-2. Guidry was tiring as he had already thrown 103 pitches through 6 1/3. Pat Clements the crafty junk throwing lefty closed the door in the 7th and Tim Stoddard pitched a perfect 8th. Rags starts the 9th to try and close the door for his 4th save in as many tries. After 2 quick outs things start to unravel. He proceeds to walk 2 straight batters with Terry Kennedy coming to the plate. After 7 pitches and a 2-2 count Rags digs deep and uses max effort to trying to get Terry to whiff on a fast ball. Instead Kennedy deposits a game tying 3 run HR into the RC porch.

                        WOW.

Bottom of the 9th. With the recent trade of Gary Ward in the Kevin Appier deal the Yankees called up a young up and coming LF named Dan Pasqua. He procceds to pinch hit for a struggling Ron Kittle with 2 outs. Pasqua rips a first pitch fast ball into deep RF.....WALK OFF HR!!!!

                        Yankees win......Yankees win!!!

                        These rosters ROCK!!!!!!!!!
